Smackdown would open this week with a tag-team match. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens would take on Pretty Deadly. How would Randy and Kevin fare as teammates, given the fact they will be WrestleMania opponents? Not so well, Pretty Deadly would pull out an upset with the assist of Logan Paul and his brass knuckles. Randy Orton would not take kindly to Logan’s antics, and would set him up for something on the announce table. Pretty Deadly would help repay the favor and stop the maneuver. They would get hit with an RKO and a Stunner for their troubles. Logan Paul would try to take this opportunity to run away, but Kevin and Randy would chase him backstage. Logan would escape in a car as the other two had to admit defeat, at least for now. The three will face-off at WrestleMania for the WWE United States Championship. The next segment featured Iyo Sky cutting a promo on her WrestleMania opponent, Bayley. Bayley would viciously blindside Iyo during the segment, getting the better of her as the scene cut away, and they showed promotional visuals for their upcoming match at WrestleMania.

Nick Aldis would be in the ring next, and he would bring out Jade Cargill. I couldn’t draw a point to the segment, other then promoting Jade, and for Jade to call out the division.

Grayson Waller and Austin Theory would take on The Street Profits with a spot in the 6 team ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania on the line. During the match the jumbotron would come on, showing Karrion Kross, and the beat down that had occurred on The Street Profits faction-mates. Austin and Grayson would take advantage of the distraction and secure their ticket to WrestleMania. After the match the Authors of Pain blindsided The Street Profits in the ring. Bobby Lashley would try to recover backstage and make his way to the ring in a rescue effort, but it was not enough. AOP and Karrion Kross put Bobby to the mat.

Legado del Fantasma would come to the ring next, and would welcome “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio to make his way down. Santos Escobar would start by telling Dom he was right about Rey. This, of course, would bring Rey and LWO to the ring. Rey would challenge Santos and Dominik to a tag match again himself and a partner of his choosing at WrestleMania. His partner would be the newest member of LWO, freshly announced Dragon Lee. A huge brawl between all members on both sides would ensue. LWO would be the team standing at the end, and would celebrate the small victory on their road to WrestleMania.

There would be another spot in the WWE Tag Team Championships match at WrestleMania on the line, as New Catch Republic would come to the ring to take on Angel and Berto of Legado del Fantasma, who were still showing signs of the brawl from the previous segment. They would put up a good fight considering the condition and situation they were in. Both teams had great pace and high spots. It even appeared temporarily that Legado may have a chance, but it was all for not. Pete Dunn would secure the pin to send their tag team to WrestleMania.

AJ Styles would cut an in-ring promo, targeted towards LA Knight. AJ would try to find where LA Knight was hiding. It wasn’t the cameraman he hit, or the random person that rushed the ring, AJ couldn’t find him. Knight would remove quite the disguise before getting the better of AJ. The two will face off at WrestleMania.

Dakota Kai versus Bianca Belair would be the next contest. Dakota would gain control and would choose to toy with Belair. This would prove to be a poor decision as Belair would gain some momentum. Damage Control would make their way to try and save the day. As promised, Naomi, would come to the aid of Bianca. The bigger surprise was the emergence of Jade Cargill, who seemed to be on the team of Namoi and Bianca, as she helped take out the problem that was Damage Control.
