Jacob Fatu Vs. Drew McIntyre Results – Unsanctioned Match
This one wasted no time getting started, with Fatu rushing McIntyre during his introduction. Everything was a weapon early, including ring posts, tables, steel chairs, a toolbox, and even the frame of the ring.
At one point, McIntyre took the belt off the referee, only for Fatu to take it from him and use it against him. The match certainly had stiff, entertaining spots, but it didn’t warrant the billing of unsanctioned.
It also lacked storytelling inside the match itself, with very few notable reversals or false finishes. The end featured Fatu hitting a moonsault on McIntyre through a table. Perhaps it’s overly violent, but wouldn’t one expect some color for an unsanctioned match at WrestleMania?
These Jacob Fatu vs. Drew McIntyre results would have made an amazing no-disqualification match on SmackDown. This, however, is WrestleMania. Mediocre spots left a bland taste in viewers’ mouths, especially considering the price of WrestleMania.
