WWE Royal Rumble results wrapped up on Saturday from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ladies kicked off the PLE with a main event spot at WrestleMania on the line. Check out the play-by-play to see exactly how it played out. One thing is for sure: they would rather look at men than women over there and pay WWE well to cover them up.
Royal Rumble Results – 1 Through 13
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss kicked off the women’s Royal Rumble. They filled time by pretending to hit a finisher on the other, before Kiana James came out at number three. She had a hot start, but Bliss and Flair remained a team to regain control.
Nia Jax, Ivy Nile, Lola Vice, and Candice LeRae all entered the match without any real action. All wrestling to this point was soft and simply filler. Jordan Grace came in at number eight and at least introduced some interesting moves. She eliminated LeRae, Nile, and Vice.
Bliss and Jax were fighting on the apron when Flair tried to kick out the Samoan, but her friend fell in the crossfire. Becky Lynch, Sol Ruca, Roxanne Perez, Maxxine Dupri, and the repackaged Nattie all entered without noteworthy moments.
Royal Rumble Results – Remaining Participants
Lynch eliminated Dupri before being tossed out of Nattie. Liv Morgan came out at number 14, Lash Legend 15, and Zelina 16. Legend hit the first realistic move of the match with a powerful powerbomb on Zelina.
The next entrant was Raquel Rodriguez, who eliminated James swiftly. The entry of Chelsea Green, Giulia, and Iyo Sky followed. Rhea Ripley came out at 22, before Zelina, Green, and Perez were eliminated. Bayley was next, before Jacey Jane entered at 24. Nattie was then eliminated by Morgan, with a modified version of her finisher.
Nikki Bella drew number 25, and Lyra Valkyria drew 26. Giulia was then eliminated, before Kelani Jordan and Kairi Sane joined the fray. Sane accidentally eliminated Asuka before being eliminated by Sky. Brie Bella made a surprise appearance at entry 29. The final entrant in the Royal Rumble was the surprise return of Tiffany Stratton.
Royal Rumble Results – The Action
The Bella Twins eliminated Bayley and Valkyria simultaneously. Jane eliminated Kalani before being eliminated by Ruca. Legend eliminated both Bella twins at the same time, which seemed to get the largest heel pop up to that point. Seconds later, the crowd cheered her for eliminating Flair.
Lash managed to get the heel heat back just moments later, eliminating Sky. Legend and Ripley had the first entertaining wrestling segment up to this point. Legend was the next to be eliminated, before Morgan backstabbed Rodriguez in a tense moment.
It was then down to the final three. After a battle on the apron and a triple-close call, Morgan pulled out the victory and is heading to WrestleMania.
In Conclusion
While some fans may crave some new faces in the biggest pictures, there’s no denying Morgan’s popularity. Only time will tell which champion she chooses to main event WrestleMania with. This year’s Women’s Royal Rumble fell flat in terms of surprises and entertaining wrestling.
