The game started slowly with both teams failing to record a hit in the first two innings, but Garrett Wright put an end to that with an RBI double down the left field line to plate the game’s first run. Reese Chapman followed him up with a looping RBI single over the second baseman’s head, scoring Wright from second to give the Vols a 2-0 lead.

Grimmer got things started with an RBI single that went in and out of the right fielder’s glove as he hit the wall, then Marin stepped up and parked his second career grand slam into the second deck of the porches to make it 9-1.

Marin led the way offensively with two extra base hits and a career high six RBIs in the win.
