The Jets enter this one 2-4, with two completely different stories. Their offense has struggled, ranking 22nd in overall offense and averaging 18.8 points per game. The defense, on the other hand, has been stellar, with the second overall ranking. The offense has also been filled with drama and storylines, including the firing of their head coach two weeks ago, Aaron Rodgers’s apparent favoritism of certain receivers, and the recent acquisition of one of the best WRs to ever play the game, Davante Adams. If the Jets want to make a serious run, Rodgers is going to have to get along with the current staff and quickly mesh with the debuting Adams.

The Steelers enter the game with similar statistics, but have managed two more wins and far less drama up to this point. One point of contention among fans is that this week may mark the return of Russell Wilson, to whom it appears Mike Tomlin is going to honor the starting role he promised. Many think that Fields has earned this role, but it is a very Steelers thing to do in going with the more established veteran. The Steelers enter this one allowing only 14.3 points per game, while averaging 19.2. The Steelers seem to be hoping Wilson can make a slight improvement on offense, perhaps with a more down-the-field approach. The team will either way likely remain heavily reliant on T.J. Watt and the defense.

The Jets enter Sunday as 2-point favorites, and this game really could go in numerous different directions. Both offenses will be utilizing new pieces in an attempt to score more than they have while going up against a proven tough defense. If you look at their consistent defensive efforts, combined with the new looks for the offenses to iron out, the under on 39 points total looks the most tempting—but you do technically have two Super Bowl-winning QBs looking to bounce back.
