After a scoreless first half, the Deacs broke through in the 55th minute when Mitchell played a perfectly weighted long ball to Debah, who received it on the left wing before driving into the box and firing past the goalkeeper. The goal was Debah’s second of the season and third of his career. Both of his goals this season have come in road ACC contests, previously scoring at Virginia Tech.

FROM COACH MUUSS
“I’m super proud of the guys for the way they played and adjusted to changes in the second half. Boston College is one of the hardest places to play on the road, and we are coming home with three points. I loved the mentality after the match knowing we could have managed the end better, but that was a great road win and performance. We are going to temporarily enjoy this one and turn the page to play at home against a great UNC Asheville team that is leading the country in goals.”
NEXT UP
Wake Forest returns to Spry Stadium on Tuesday, Oct. 13, to host UNC Asheville. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
