AEW Dynasty promo
AEW Dynasty final card and predictions.
FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (c) v Cope and Cage (Adam Copeland and Christian Cage) – AEW World Tag Team Championship
- Winner: Cope and Cage
- Method: Pinfall, Cage over Harwood
- Expectations: Tempered
This match is perhaps a decade too late. As historic as all four men are in wrestling, Cope and Cage are not as sharp as they once were, so there’s only so much to be expected physically. It’s likely to have great storytelling and reversals, but these two practically came from WWE to become tag champs, and tonight is their night.
Jon Moxley (c) v Will Ospreay – AEW Continental Championship
- Winner: Will Osprey
- Method: Pinfall
- Expectations: Five-star banger
Jon Moxley has a history of elevating titles before dropping them to worthy title-holders. Will Ospreay is fresh off an injury and hot as ever. This will have great physicality, high-flying, reversals, and false finishes. Mox has had the AEW Continental Championship for a while now, and it’s time for a change.
Andrade El Ídolo v Darby Allin – If Allin wins, he gets an AEW World Championship match
- Winner: Andrade El Idolo
- Method: Pinfall
- Expectations: High physicality, chaos ringside, outside interference
Andrade will have The Don Callis Family on his side, which is the perfect way to protect Darby Allin in a loss. Allin always puts his body on the line, and El Idolo is itching at the chance to shine from the huge shadow of The Don Callis Family.
Thekla (c) v Jamie Hayter – AEW Women’s World Championship: AEW Dynasty Final Card
- Winner: Thekla
- Method: Pinfall
- Expectations: Mid
Jamie Hayter has a good thing going with Alex Windsor as The Brawling Birds in the tag division. Thekla has proven the willingness to go hardcore, but neither one is necessarily a pure athlete. Both are respected, but don’t expect something you haven’t seen before.
Tommaso Ciampa v Rush vs All TBA – Casino Gauntlet match for vacant TNT Championship: AEW Dynasty Final Card
Having Tommaso Ciampa win would be the definition of “mailing it in” after the unfortunate injury to former TNT Champion, “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher. Ciampa is a fresh signing from WWE and just dropped the title after a short run. That said, it’s so AEW to milk WWE’s old cows.
The Young Bucks (Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson) v The Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita) – Tag team match
- Winner: The Don Callis Family
- Method: Pinfall
- Expectations: Elite reversals and false finishes
This match is destined for a “fight forever” chant. While The Young Bucks lack the power and technical skills of their opponents, all four have top-tier ring IQ and the ability for wild spots. The one negative opinion is, why does this need to be on PPV?
Chris Jericho v Ricochet – Singles match
- Winner: Chris Jericho
- Method: Pinfall
- Expectations: Soft time filler
Speaking of matches that don’t need to be on PPV, this one is a million times worse. Chris Jericho recently returned on Dynamite, but the pop was not as loud as one might expect. Jericho isn’t returning and losing to Ricochet in the first match back.
MJF (c) v Kenny Omega – AEW World Championship
- Winner: MJF
- Method: Pinfall
- Expectations: Dramatic back-and-forth, greasy heel tactic to win
It feels like just yesterday that MJF won the AEW World Heavyweight Championship
Championship. It was indeed just a month ago, and much too soon to drop the strap again. This truly is one of the best on the mic versus one of the best technicians in history. The finish will be dirty, to protect Omega.
