Coming off of their 3rd SoCon Series win at Samford and a loss to Radford, The Bucs continue on the road. The Bucs head to Nashville, Tennessee this Friday to face Belmont. This doesn’t end their road trip though, as their next matchup is in Athens, facing current #6 Georgia (source NCAA D1 Rankings, April 5, 2026).
Radford Highlights;
Coming into this matchup, The Bucs knew Radford would be putting up a fight. Radford had a great bullpen and is very defensive. The pitchers kept The Bucs at 3 runs. Meanwhile, The Bucs responded in the same fashion, pushing their pitching performance and trying to surge past Radford. Their efforts were not enough to power past a one run deficit though. Final Score 4-3 Radford.
Bucs Outlook in Nashville;
The Bucs and The Bruins have had a rivalry going back to 1998. The Bucs historically have had a losing record to Belmont, going 15-4 overall. This season, The Bruins are currently 12-21, with a conference record of 4-5. Last season, The Bruins went 26-34 with a conference record of 13-14. Meanwhile, The Bucs are currently 21-9 overall, with a non-conference record of 15-6. This is also the 6th non SoCon series for The Bucs this season.

From the pitcher’s mound, ETSU is leading the SoCon in a few categories, the same categories as last season. WHIP is at a 1.42, ERA at 4.27, and additionally hits allowed per 9 innings is 8.29. Projected Pitching matchups for ETSU would be Tadan Bell (LHP) for Friday, RHO Michael Harpster for Saturday’s first contest, and game three is to be determined, which starts 45 minutes after game two on Saturday.
Some players to keep eyes on are Henry Ferguson, who is one of the top in the SoCon for On-Base Percentage and Batting Average. Additionally, Nate Conner and Tristan Curless are ones to watch. These standout hitters are a consistent source for RBI’s and extra base hits. This dynamic duo are a strong part of the rotation, and are a pillar of The Bucs success so far this season.
The Bucs-Bruins Series is on ESPN+. First Pitch on Friday is scheduled for 5pm EST.
