The Anderson Trojans Men’s soccer team (5-0-2, 2-0-1 SAC) play host to the North Greenville Trailblazers (2-4-1, 2-1-1 CCA) at Spero Financial Stadium in Anderson S.C. The No.9 Anderson University men’s soccer team defeated Carson-Newman (2-2-2, 1-1-1 SAC) by a score of 3-2 on Saturday at Spero Financial Field. Adrian Castillo scored off Luis Munoz’s assist in the 83rd minute to break a 2-2 tie.

The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men’s Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during Week Four of the 2026 season and Anderson’s Luis Munoz was named the Offensive Player of the Week. Munoz, a senior forward from Lecheria, Venezuela, totaled two goals and two assists to lead Anderson through an unbeaten week in SAC play. He scored in a 2-2 draw against Emory & Henry on Sept. 15, then figured in all three goals with a goal and two assists as the Trojans rallied for a 3-2 victory over Carson-Newman on Sept. 19. Munoz finished the week with six points on six shots, including four on goal, in 132 minutes.

The second half starts off great for the Trojans as #11 Castillo Monton, Adrian Assist by Munoz, Luis and Hicks, Jace at the 57th minute of the second period. The Trojans have now a 2-0 lead over the visiting NGU Trailblazers.

After NGU had a shot and corner in the 72nd minute, the Black and Gold responded moments later when Nicolas Ortiz set up Zethofer to extend the lead to 3-0. The Trailblazers pressed late with three shots and a corner between the 77th and 87th minutes, but the Trojans did not concede and also added late chances from Ortiz and Raul Perez before the match ended at 3-0.
Up next, the Trojans visit Wingate on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Wingate, N.C.
