AEW Redemption predictions for Sunday, July 26, 2026, from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.

AEW World Championship: Kenny Omega (c) vs. TNT Champion Kevin Knight

One can only hope that something happens during this match to continue a storyline, because “The Jet” Kevin Knight is not pinning Kenny Omega. Knight is as athletic as anybody, and he’s improved leaps and bounds in ring IQ, but his moveset is still soft to the eye. Logically, there wouldn’t be a title drop from a top guy to a mid-carder, especially during the final PPV before All In. To see the glass half-full, the match is destined for an epic pace, wild high spots, and crisp reversals.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Thekla (c) vs. Willow Nightingale

Willow Nightingale was forced to relinquish her TBS Championship earlier this year due to injury, and she’s back to level up. She’s been there for years and done a lot for their women’s division. Furthermore, she’s their only female babyface clean enough for the kids, but talented enough for the hardcores. Thekla has been an amazing champion, and it’s far from the lock of the previous prediction, but it feels like it’s time for a new champ.

AEW Tag Team Championship: Adam Copeland & Christian Cage (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli & PAC

Claudio Castagnoli and PAC are easily the better in-ring talent, with Adam Copeland and Christian Cage really doing nothing athletically to impress during this run. That said, the cash-grab nostalgia run is just getting going, and it’d be quite the drop without an intense build. The challengers will make the champs look better than they are, but ultimately come up short.

AEW International Championship: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. ROH Champion Bandido

This one has match-of-the-night potential, with two versatile talents. The combination of high-flying while still laying it in thick is incredible. That said, this feels like an easy prediction. Fletcher will retain after a barn-burner.

AEW National Championship: Mark Davis (c) vs. Andrade El Idolo

Upset with Don Callis and his booking, Andrade El Idolo left the faction. He’s now looking to take the AEW National Championship from Don Callis ‘ family member, Mark Davis. Despite superb in-ring skills, Andrade struggles to completely get over. Davis is also a highly underrated star and has the faction behind him.

AEW could use the faction to help Davis retain, but the build has actually been nice long-term storytelling. It’d be quite anticlimactic to retain here, even if Andrade is the smaller of the two.

AEW TBS Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Maya World – AEW Redemption

AEW continues their unsuccessful pushing of Maya World, as she’s not quite at the level they book her. Hikaru Shida just picked up the TBS Championship, and dropping the title to someone fans of only Dynamite may not even know. Furthermore, neither one is overly athletic, so this might be a good smoke break.

Jon Moxley & Will Ospreay vs. The Young Bucks – AEW Redemption

This feels like the most pointless match on the card, and could really happen on Dynamite. Neither side gains much in the victory, and there’s nothing on the line. One can hope it adds something to the storyline featuring Jon Moxley taking Will Ospreay under his wing on the road to All In. Moxley is the current Continental Champion, so he’s not taking the pin, and Ospreay’s on the path to the world title; Look for The Young Bucks to put them over.

No Holds Barred Match: “The Painmaker” Chris Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa – AEW Redemption

Tommaso Ciampa has brought out a level of intensity in Chris Jericho that hasn’t been seen for quite some time. Jericho is returning The Painmaker gimmick and might make up for his declining athleticism with this stipulation. Ciampa’s run has been more entertaining since jumping from WWE to AEW, and this win will be a great brand-name win in the record books.

AEW International Championship No. 1 Contenders Match – Jack Perry vs. The Beast Mortos vs. Komander vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. AR Fox or Nick Wayne vs. Lio Rush or El Clon

They just threw this match together and have little to no build for this PPV. Furthermore, why book a number one contender match on a PPV? That said, they’ve got quite the list of high-flyers in this match. “Jungle” Jack Perry has been delusional leading up, claiming to be a veteran martyr by giving up-and-comers a moment to shine. He certainly gets the most AEW television time, and he’s a company boy.

Double Chain Tag Team Match – Bang Bang Gang (Jay White and Juice Robinson) vs. The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors)

Jay White has returned to action and immediately called out The Dogs. A double-chain main is also an interesting concept. All four guys go at 100% all the time, so this one’s destined for physicality. Lean toward the recent return to pick up the win to continue their roll.
