These AEW Dynamite results are the second-to-last before the Double or Nothing PPV. Championship storylines, grudges, and much more unfolded on this April 13, 2026, episode.
FTR, Ciampa, & The Dogs Vs Young Bucks, Cassidy, & Cope and Cage – AEW Dynamite Results
AEW World Tag Team Champion FTR (Dax Hardwood and Cash Wheeler), teamed with “Psycho Killer” Tommasso Ciampa and The Dogs (Clark Connors and David Finlay) to take on The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson), “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy, and Cope and Cage (Adam Copeland and Christian Cage) in ten-man tag action. The match was chaotic and eventful, but was mostly to promote the “I Quit” match between Cope and Cage with FTR at the upcoming PPV. Copeland picked up the pinfall on Connors after hitting him with a spear.
The Jet, Speedball, & Return Of The Machine
“Speedball” Mike Bailey, accompanied by AEW TNT Champion, “The Jet” Kevin Knight, had a match with nobody’s favorite “already in the ring.” After the squash match, it went straight into Knight’s open challenge for his title. The opening squash match felt pointless.
“The Machine” Brian Cage made his return after 14 months to answer the open challenge. He looks bigger than ever, and showed off his strength in the return. Odd decision to have a big star like Cage lose clean to Knight in his return match. The champ and Bailey grabbed a microphone post-match.
Bailey challenged the winner of the main event later that evening. That match is an AEW World Heavyweight Championship between Darby Allin and “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita.
Will Ospreay Vs. Ace Austin – AEW Dynamite Results
“The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay and Ace Austin faced off in a singles match. Austin actually controlled for large portions of this match, focusing on some of the injury history that comes with Ospreay. They both had great moments of athleticism and slick reversals. They also bring two of the best movesets on the roster. The victory for the Aerial Assassin was predictable, but the tapout was a surprise.
The Opps (Samoa Joe, Shibata, and Anthony Bowens) came to the entrance ramp to address Osprey after the match. Joe gets him in the opening round of the Owen Hart Tournament. They started to approach The Ariel Assassin with bad intentions, but the Death Riders put a stop to that.
Triangle Of Madness Vs. Shida & The Brawling Birds – AEW Dynamite Results
Triangle of Madness (Skye Blue, Julia Hart, and AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla) took on Hikaru Shida and The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor and Jayme Hayter) in trios action. There’s no better word than boring for this one. The finish saw Hayter use her championship belt as a weapon, and the match was thrown out.
AEW World Heavyweight Championship Match
It was time for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship main event between Allin and Takeshita. The champ was slammed around and knocked senseless for quite a while. He kicked out of numerous situations that didn’t make sense, as AEW goes too far trying to push these undersized champions. Some of the false finishes were a little “too” false for belief. Furthermore, The Alpha’s build and talent shouldn’t be losing clean here, yet it is.
Hair Vs. Title
MJF was featured in the final segment. Allin called him out for a contract signing – he’ll put the AEW World Heavyweight Championship on the line if his opponent risks his hair. MJF went off on the champ, including calling it a lucky reign, never to be repeated again. The two will face off at Double or Nothing.
MJF signed the contract before attacking the fatigued Allin. It wasn’t over there, as the challenger set up for a second-rope tombstone, but Knight saved the champ from further damage.
