The AEW Collision results this week are from the stop at the San Jose Civic Centre in San Jose, California. This is the final show before Revolution tomorrow. The card featured numerous talents expected on the Revolution card.
AEW Collision Results – Singles Matches
El Clon versus Kevin Knight kicked off this show. This was a great match to kick off any show. It had all the pace and high-flying one could need, without losing physicality or belief. Knight picked up a hard-fought victory.
The next match was Komander versus one-third of the AEW Trios Champions, Mark Davis. The size and strength kept Davis in command early, and it paired well with the pace and high-flying abilities of his opponent.
Kommander made it interesting, but was just too far undersized. Davis picked up the pinfall off of a piledriver.
AEW Collision Results – Trios Matches
The Triangle of Madness (AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue) made an appearance on Collision. It was, however, only a squash match against three women already in the ring. Thekla will defend her title against Kris Statlander at Revolution. Statlander appears after the match to let the champ whip her senseless to prove how tough she.
The Demand (Gates of Agony and AEW National Champion Ricochet) took on the Bang Bang Gang (Ace Austin, Austin Gunn, and Juice Robinson). What this match lacked in old-school, chain wrestling, it made up for in pace and false finishes. The Demand was victorious ahead of Ricochet defending his title in a 21-man battle royale at Revolution.
AEW Collision Results – Singles Matches
“Colossal” Lena Cross versus Mina Shirakawa was up next. These two had some poor chemistry, with every spot starting awkwardly. Cross picked up the victory ahead of her match at Revolution. Her and Megan Bayne will challenge for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship.
The Collision main event was CMLL World Historic Welterweight and Trios Champion, Mascara Dorada, versus Andrade El Idolo, in singles action. This was an entertaining lucha, with speed and high-flying on display. These two also worked in some stiff striking and acts of strength – a great main event for Collision standards.
The crowd finally started to pop as they exchanged numerous, tense, false finishes. In a bout where it was hard to believe Dorada had a chance going in, but he had the crowd believing. Andrade ultimately picked up the pinfall to end Collision.
