Cooper Flax, Harvey Sarajian Named to 2025 United Soccer Coaches Midfielders to Watch List

The 2024 All-Conference selections combined for 13 goals and seven assists last season.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Wake Forest men’s soccer players Cooper Flax and Harvey Sarajian have been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches Midfielders to Watch List, the organization announced Friday.

During the 2024 season, Flax led the Deacs in points (19) and goals (nine) as he was the only field player to start all 24 matches. In ACC Tournament victories over Syracuse and Virginia along with a 2-2 draw at SMU, Flax scored four goals including his first-career brace in a 5-1 victory over the Cavaliers.

Of his nine goals in 2024, six came against ACC opponents and his final goal of the season was a game-winning strike in a 2-1 victory over Maryland in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
He also converted on both of his penalty kick attempts against SMU and Clemson en route to Wake Forest’s third ACC Championship in nine seasons. In addition to his Third-Team All-America selection, he earned United Soccer Coaches first-team All-South Region, All-ACC second team and was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team.

Harvey Sarajian – Sophomore – Naples, Fla.

Transferring in after a stellar freshman campaign at Georgia Southern, Sarajian joins the Demon Deacons with four goals and six assists to his name.

His exceptional play earned him Sun Belt Freshman of the Year honors as well as a United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Second-Team Selection. Of note, he was one of only seven freshmen nationally to be named to an all-region team. Sarajian appeared in every match for the Eagles and started in 16 of them. His four goals tied for second on the team while his six assists led the team and tied for third in the Sun Belt.
