AEW Dynamite would start with a promo from Adam Page. He would begin listing off his recent victims, which included Austin Gunn. Austin’s brother, Colton, would try to jump him from behind but still lost the exchange. Jay White and Juice Robinson would come to the rescue, causing Hangman to scurry off. Jay White would grab the mic and explain how he would never live up to the Switchblade.

The first match of the night would see Sammy Guevara against the new AEW signee, Shelton Benjamin. Both men looked pretty good going back-and-forth, Guevara showing off his high-flying ability and athleticism, and Benjamin his strength and ring IQ. The veteran would be too much for Guevara, winning by pinfall.

Next, we would hear from Don Callis and Kyle Fletcher. Fletcher would address his recent betrayal of Will Ospreay. He would say that ever since Ospreay came to AEW, Fletcher was always compared and left in his shadow, despite being the better talent. He would then go on to shave his own head so he would be nothing like him. The promo went on a bit long, and the haircut was very awkward and unnecessary.

Brian Cage and Lance Archer won a very boring and short squash match against a tag team that received no introduction and wasn’t even named by the announce team.

The next would be a ladder match for the ROH World Championship – Mark Briscoe versus Chris Jericho. Briscoe would put Jericho through a table within a minute of the bell. The two would focus on weapon spots, using multiple ladders and chairs for the majority of the match. Jericho would end up busting open Briscoe’s head. Brian Keith would end up getting involved but was intercepted by Rocky Romero. Briscoe would then hit a huge flying elbow off a ladder, slamming Jericho through another table. Briscoe would then hit a Jay Driller and start his ascent. This time, it would be Big Bill coming to Jericho’s aid, chokeslamming Briscoe off the ladder in the ring, straight through a table on the floor. This would give Jericho the opportunity he needed to become the new ROH World Champion. After the bell, Ishii would make an appearance, seemingly alluding to Jericho’s next storyline.

Adam Cole would come to the ring for a promo but wouldn’t get through his opening catchphrase before being interrupted by Roderick Strong and the Undisputed Era. They would seemingly make up after Adam Cole’s storyline with MJF, and all four men would call out MJF. MJF would come on the Jumbotron and say if any of them can win three matches in a row, they could then get a match with him.

The next match would be the House of Black versus three men who were already in the ring (at least they were introduced). All three members of the House of Black would hit about two moves each before winning this squash match. Buddy Matthews would challenge Adam Cole next after the match.

Kamille versus Queen Aminata was up next. Aminata put up a good fight, but ultimately could not keep up with Kamille. After the match, Kris Statlander came to the ring for a face-to-face with Kamille. The two will face off next week on Dynamite. A fight ensued, but Statlander lost the two-on-one, which also involved Mercedes Mone.

Hook would try to attack Christian Cage, seemingly to make up for the previous mystery of who attacked Tazz last week. Kip Sapian would actually be the one to save the day with a low blow to Hook, and The Patriarchy would then inflict further damage to Hook. Will Christian accept Kip Sabian into The Patriarchy?

The main event was Jack Perry and The Young Bucks versus Private Party and Daniel Garcia in a trios match. The match had a good pace but lacked storytelling and consisted mostly of spots and reversal superkicks. Private Party challenged The Young Bucks for their titles and, to make it more enticing, offered to split up if they lost. The match will happen next week on Dynamite. It was at this moment that the Blackpool Combat Club attacked the men in the ring and dragged Chuck Taylor from the back all the way to the ring. They put a chair around his neck and stomped on it. Orange Cassidy came to his aid, but the damage had been done.
Things continue to be taken too far with the #AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and his team.
