Gunther will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton, where the winner will move or stay on Raw, and the loser will end up on SmackDown. Gunther has done a great job in promos, making things very personal while maintaining his elitist gimmick. Randy has had his moments to shine as well, including an RKO out of nowhere, becoming one of the few, if not only, men to get the best of Gunther outside of a match. While the booking of Randy Orton to challenge Gunther is a good household name for Gunther to add to his resume, the booking felt strangely off, just plucking Randy from SmackDown to appear on Raw as the #1 contender. I believe both men will bring out the best in each other, and it will be a stiff, hard-hitting match. It’s hard to imagine Gunther losing the championship at this point and also hard to imagine both men shifting shows and roles relatively quickly. I see this as one of the biggest names in Gunther’s title run, elevating him yet another level.
From King of the Ring to Heavyweight Champion of the World!

The Undisputed WWE Championship will also be on the line when Cody Rhodes defends his title against Kevin Owens. Owens has been a babyface as of late, but the heel-turn teases have been popping up even more recently. I predict that they will have a clean match with Cody Rhodes emerging victorious. I see the magic happening after the match, with Kevin Owens perhaps holding his arm up only to strike him down for his heel turn. If my previous prediction is correct, then we will see Kevin’s friend (current babyface) Randy Orton return to SmackDown, and we will see where the story goes from there.

The Terror Twins will take on Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan in their ongoing storyline with The Judgment Day. While I can respect the idea of trying to book the story on a large PLE scale, it does seem odd to have a mixed tag match on a PLE. I foresee a win for The Terror Twins leading to further storyline development between Liv and Rhea Ripley for the Women’s Championship in the future.

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will face off in a strap match. These two have been utilizing long-term storytelling very well. Punk had trolled McIntyre for months, costing him match after match, while McIntyre got his revenge by winning their recent match. Punk is back for more and is back for his bracelet McIntyre stole. If McIntyre had the payoff after the first lead-off, I’m going to have to go with Punk winning the one for the payoff and taking his bracelet back after somehow hauling Drew McIntyre to all four corners. I suppose they will have to have a trilogy match?

The final match on the agenda is for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will challenge The Unholy Union. The Unholy Union won the titles in a three-team match at Clash at the Castle. Belair and Cargill were the champions going into that match and were not pinned, despite losing their titles. The two teams also had a match on a recent episode of SmackDown, in which The Unholy Union lost the match due to disqualification (Blair Davenport interfered). But, as we all know, the title cannot change hands by disqualification. After not being pinned to lose the titles and winning a rematch by disqualification, I see this as the payoff spot for the babyface team – Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will be the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
The Unholy Union are set to defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship against Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair at #WWEBash in Berlin on Saturday, August 31.
