The Greenville Drive (11-16) come into a two-week homestand starting with the Hickory Crawdads (10-16) ready to win a 2 huge series and get themselves back into the race for the top spot in the league. Last year the same team started a huge wave a series wins that lead to a first half champions and lead to a home field advantage and a championship.

We have gone through two innings, and it’s been a pitcher’s duel as we are 0-0 with both teams not able to get much of anything, Hickory has two hits and the Drive one as we head to the top of the third inning.

We go all the way to the bottom of the 4th inning when the Drive are the first ones to score, and it is 1-0 Greenville on top of the Crawdads with 1 out and a man on second. That is followed up by a two-run homerun by Bryan Gonzalez to make it 3-0 Drive out front.
Lopi shoots one through the infield and we've got the early lead.

Hickory is able to get a run in the top of the fifth inning drawing closer 3-1 and making the game just a little more interesting, but Greenville draws back and gets that run back and it is 4-1 with one out and a runner on second.
Rosario nearly gets one out of here, but he'll settle for an RBI-double!

The Greenville Drive are able to close out the game with a 9-1 win over the Hickory Crawdads. Greenville is now 3 GB from first place Rome going into Wednesday 2pm game at Fluor Field.
