Its gametime as the Lady Paladins have come out for the warmups as does the Lady Mocs. Furman going with an experienced lineup tonight, Coach Curtis will be hoping his Paladins can get the ball out fast and down the court and in the basket vs this stingy Mocs defense. This game is a all guard starting game and its fast and furious as both sides quickly up and down the court, shots fast as Furman comes out to a 6-3 lead with 7:15 left in the 1st quarter.

After the first media timeout, Furman is behind by 6 points after leading the first few minutes of the game. Kate Johnson makes her presence known and gets a foul inside and gets a Ft in and Furman is behind by 5. We come to the end of the first quarter with Furman down 18-13 after a late still with seconds left by UT Chatt.

Furman is now within two points and playing UT Chatt tough, both teams are flying around on the court. These ladies are really putting on a great game for the fans here. We are getting ready for the start the second half of the game, Furman down by 12 points. First media timeout and Furman is down 45-30 and the game is becoming a foul fest on the Furman side including a technical foul on Coach Curtis which has the fans upset. Furman has 18 points in the paint, 13 points off the bench, and 2 points off second chance and turnovers. Kate Johnson still your leading scorer with 11 points 2 rebounds. Furman has closed the lead to 8 points with under a minute left in the game. We come to the end of the 3rd quarter and Furman has closed the gap to 8 points on the UT Chattanooga Mocs going into the 4th quarter. Jada Session is now in play with 10 points and 4 rebounds, Kate Johnson with 11 points and 3 rebounds, Tate Walters with 5 points and a rebound. Furman with 22 points in the paint and that has helped them get back in this game.

Furman is now within 5 points as we have a media timeout as the fans are now into the game also, Furman nation is now showing out. UT Chatt was able to keep Furman at bay, but the Lady Paladins will not give up and are playing to make a statement heading into the SoCon tournament next week. We have 4:34 left in the game and the Paladins are ready to give it a go to win this game.

We have 2:06 left in the game, Furman is down by 7 points to the Moc’s who have been keeping Furman from getting any closer than 5 points since the first quarter. It is coming down to the final 2 minutes, can the Paladins get the upset tonight, we are at 1:13 left and its 55-49 Mocs in the lead over the Paladins. It’s now under a minute to go, timeout and Furman is down 57-50 and the paladins get the ball after the timeout. Kate Johnson will now go to the line after a foul, huge foul shot made the next line violation, redoing the foul shot. Kate makes it and its 57-52 with 40 seconds left in the game. Furman plays some great defense and gets a ball from out of bounds and 30 seconds left to get this game even closer. It is a 4-point game with Furman down 57-53 with 20 seconds left in the game. Full time out UT Chatanooga after making a FT and its 58-53 16 seconds left in the game. Furman is going to lose this game 60-53.
