The Greenville Drive (2-4) face off with the Asheville Tourist (2-3) in Game 5 of the series. Greenville had won the first two of the series, then has lost two straight leading to the rubber game of the series tonight. Greenville puts Angel Bastardo on the mound tonight vs. Alex Santos of the Tourist.

Inning One
The Tourist start off with a base hit as we honor Jackie Robinson as the Drive are the Greenville Black Spinners tonight. Next batter hits a pop up and its one out, but the batter after that Melton hits a blast out of the park and its 2-0 already with one out. The next batter up will strike out and its two out with the next batter for Asheville hits to third and is thrown out, and the Spinners are up to bat next. First batter up is Paulino and he is thrown out at first, next up is Meidroth and he gets walked and the Spinners have a man on base. Next up is Mayer who hits a popup to LF and its two outs as Hickey comes up to hit. Hickey then moves out as the runner steals second on a balk by the pitcher. Spinners now have a runner in scoring position as Hickey steps in and gets walked which means runs at first and second with Ugueto up to bat. He steps up and pops one out to center and its caught, and its on to the second with the score 2-0 Tourist with the lead.

Inning Two
The inning starts off with a strike out on the first Tourist batter so we have one out. Next batter gets a great hit to center off the wall and its a single. Runner now on first the next batter is up and he strikes out and its two down in the top of the second. The next batter up he hits a foul ball that is caught by the third baseman, and we go to the bottom of the second with the score still 2-0. Max Ferguson is up first for the Spinners, and he knocks one into center and its out one, and up is Erro he gets strikeout and its 1 out in the second with Jimenez up to hit and he strikes out and its the end of the 2nd inning 2-0 Tourist.
Tourists scratch across two with a homer to right.

Inning Three
The Tourist are up now and the first batter gets struck out and we are up to the next batter with one out. He steps in hits to second and we have two outs as he was thrown out at first. The Tourist have one more out left and the next batter strikes out and we go to the bottom of the third inning. The Spinners will send up first Decker to get the rally started he hits one into deep Center and gets a double and the Spinners have a runner on second. Paulino is up next to bat and he hits one to RF and is out but the runner steals and is safe but we have a meeting and it stands. Spinners now have a runner on third with one out, Meidroth steps in and gets a walk with one out in the bottom of the third. A wild throw to first and the runner scores and the runner on first is at second. Mayer is up to hit, and he hits a two-run blast and its 3-2 Spinners in front as we have a meeting on the mound and pitching change. Hickey comes up and strikes out, and now it’s up to Ugueto and he hits to third and the inning is over as the Spinners are now up 3-2 heading into the fourth.

Inning 4
The Tourist are behind for the first time tonight, the first batter hits a blooper to third and its caught with one out, and the next batter hits to LF and is out followed by a hit to center that’s an out for the next and it’s a one, two, three inning and the Spinners are up next. The Spinners send up Ferguson who is safe after a hit to the SS. The next batter Erro and he steps back as the runner goes and is safe, Ferguson steals another, and Erro steps back in with a runner at second now with no outs and he walks, and we have Spinners at Second and first. Jimenez steps in now and he blast a great hit ball to center which is caught, and the runner runs to third and we have runners on the corners with one out in the bottom of the 4th inning the next batter Decker strikes out so its up to Paulino to drive in the runs, he steps in and he gets thrown out at first. The inning is over and its still 3-2.
5th Inning
The Tourist first batter nails a hit down the first base line and he gets to second. Next batter up hits to the same place and the Tourist have tied this game up at 3-3, and with a runner at second again they send up the next batter and he pops up and we have one out. Tourists send up the next batter and he strikes out and its two outs in the top of the fifth ties 3-3, and he moves out as the runner steals third after a wild pitch, then gets the walk, and up the next batter comes with two outs, he strikes out to end of the top inning but the damage is done with Asheville ties the game 3-3 and a new pitcher has arrived for Asheville. The Spinners send up Meidroth to get the lead back and he gets a walk and now up to bat is Mayer who hit the Homerun for the night, he hits a pop up and we have the first out of the inning for the Spinners, up next is Hickey, he hits into a play at first and its the end of the fifth. The score is 3-3!

6th Inning
The Spinners bring in a new pitcher Jones to face the Tourists, and Tourist first batter and he strikes out, the next batter for the Tourist and he strikes out, we have two out and the next batter he gets a single, Tourist now have a runner at first, next batter up hits to the second baseman and its out, the Spinners will put on the LEAD caps to go back and get the lead back here at the bottom of the 6th and Ugueto is out to start the inning, next is Ferguson and he grounds out and its two outs here in the 6th for the Spinners. Erro gets to the plate and he grounds out to first and its off to the 7th inning.
7th Inning
The Spinners get three quick outs and the Tourist go down fast. The Greenville Spinners for one night only in honor of Jackie Robinson head into the 7th inning stretch needing a score to take the lead as we are tied 3-3. The Spinners send up Jimenez to get the inning started off and he hits a double off the center field wall, now up is Decker and he strikes out, and its now Paulino up to get Jimenez in, he sets in and pops one up to RF and the runner advances to third with two outs and its Meidroth is up to bat. He sets in and he walks so the Spinners have runners on the corners for Mayer, and he hits a blast to RF and we have runners on the corners and a run in as Greenville takes the lead 4-3. Then its a out and we head into the 8th inning with the Spinners leading 4-3.

8th Inning
The Tourist come out to play catch-up and the first batter gets on first, the next batter gets walked also and we have two on base with no outs in the top of the 8th. The Tourist batter steps in, and he strikes out, the next batter up and he strikes out as the fans yell Cheeseburger for a promotion going on. So now two outs and the next batter strikes out and the lead is saved for another inning. So Hickey is up to the plate to finish his at bat, he steps in and he gets walked and now up comes Ugueto hits one up and its out one. Now it’s up to Ferguson, he steps up to the plate and gets out, next up is Erro and he strikes out and ends the inning, the Spinners are now 3 outs away from a win tonight.
9th Inning
The Drive are ready to get the win being up 4-3 here in the ninth inning, the first Tourist batter goes down on strikes, and we are two outs away from a win. The Tourist get a pair of singles and now we are all tied up here in the 9th with two outs. The Spinners strikes out the batter and now its time for them to get a run in the ninth. Jimenez gets thrown out at first and its up to Decker now with one out, he steps up and he strikes out, and we rest our hopes on Paulino and he strikes out and we head to the 10th inning.
10th inning
In the top of the tenth the Tourist get a Grand Slam with two outs and its now 8-4. That completely killed the crowd energy. The Black Spinners get the final out, buts wits 4 runs to late, and the next batters have a tall task to get back in this one. The Spinners get one run to cut it to 8-5, but the Tourist hold on to win the game.
