Drive Come Home to Face the Dash at Fluor Field (Thread)

The Drive head into tonight’s game after a 5-game series win over the Tourist. They also do so without the use of the hottest player in MiLB Marcelo Mayer who is taking a night off from what we are told. The Drive still look very good heading into the game, so lets see what will happen.

Inning One
The Dash strike first after a wild pitch and with two outs its 1-0, but hold on to get the final out but the damage is done. The Drive start off with a walk to get the inning started, then get a steal by Paulino of second with no outs. Miller gets him to third with a infield grounder for out one. Next up is Jordan and he hits a rifle shot out into right center and we have a tied ballgame as Jordan makes it to second with only one out. Gonzalez is up and he hits a steamer to the SS who misplays the throw to third and Jordan scores while Gonzalez makes it to second and its 2-0 with one out. Bonaci is up and he strikes out and its two outs with Ugueto up to hit, and he strikes out and we have a Drive 2-1 lead over the Dash as we head to inning two.

Inning two
The Drive are able to get the first two out after a double play and are facing Gonzalez at the plate, and he walks with two outs. The Dash get a man on bash but can do nothing with it, as Greenville heads to the bottom of the inning. Up for the Drive is Lopez and he strikes out and we see Erro up to bat and he hits a Homerun on the first pitch and its 3-1 with one out. Next batter up Decker, he strikes out to allot of displeasure of the fans. Paulino is up and he walks next batter Miller is up, but there is a wild throw to first and Paulino gets all the way around to third with still 2 outs. Paulino stills home after another loose ball and its 4-1 Greenville in the bottom of the second, the Dash get the strike out and we head to the third 4-1 Greenville over the Dash after 3.

Inning 3
The rain delay is over and we are back to playing ball at 9:10pm. The first batter for the Dash gets struck out as we are 1 out in the 3rd. Next better gets walked and the next man up strikes out and we are at the bottom of the third Drive up 4-1. The Drive send Jordan up to get the inning started and he nails one down the 3rd base line and gets a double with no outs. Gonzolez strikes out but Bonaci gets a single and we have runners at the corners with 1 out. Ugueto comes up and hits a chopper to third and is out but Jordan scores and its 5-1 Greenville with two outs. Lopez strikes out and we head to the fourth Drive up 5-1.

4th Inning
The Dash are up and are needing to start a comeback, the first batter strikes out, the next one grounds out to second and we have one out to go. The last batter strikes out and we heading to the bottom of the fourth. The Drive now head to the bottom of the fourth ahead 5-1, up first is Erro and he strikes out, next is Decker, he pops up and we have two outs with Tyler Miller up, he strikes out after Decker was able to steal second.

5th Inning
The Dash come out and get a run off a questionable hit\foul ball, it stands and the Dash get another run and its 5-3 with two outs in the 5th. The Drive go to the bullpen to Tellier, he comes out and gets railed three times and the Dash are now down 5-4, but then a balk cost the Drive the runner and its now tied 5-5 with two out. The Dash are now in the lead 6-5 with two outs, and finally get the third out but the damage is done, its 6-5. The Drive start the inning with a Homer by Blaze Jordan and then follow that up with another homer by Bonaci and we are at 7-6 Drive in the lead heading into the 6th.
TIE. GAME.

6th Inning
The Dash down one send up the first batter and he strikes out and up steps the next batter who nails one and we have a runner on base, then the Dash get another hit and its now tied at 7-7 with 1 out and a runner at second. The next batter grounds out to first and its two outs tied ballgame, the next batter for the Dash
