Opening day and the stadium has a great turn out and its time to start baseball in Greenville this year. Play Ball has been said as the team takes the field and the season is ready. We will be updating each inning to let everyone what the score and also give other updates. Inning One:

The Toursist go down three up and three down, and the drive start the inning with a pop up by Paulino, and now its Meidroth up to hit. Meidroth is thrown out at first and its up to Mayer to extend the inning. Mayer strikes out and we are on to inning 2.

Inning two:
Tourist are up to bat and ground out for out one. The second batter strikes out so Greenville pitcher Encamacion has now 3 strike outs as he gets the catcher and we are on to the bottom of the 2nd. The Drive are now trying to get the bats hot and our first batter Hickey is up to bat, and he hits a double down the first base line and we have a runner in scoring position. The next batter Jordan goes down with a strike out which leads to Ugueto strikes out and the inning is up to Ferguson who steps in and he strikes out and the inning is over. and we are tied still 0-0 going to the third inning.

Third Inning:
The top of the third goes three up and a great play by SS Mayer to get the third out and we have the Drive out to see if they can get a hit at the bottom of the third. The Drive now start the inning with Gonzalez up to hit and he gets a walk and the Drive have a runner on base. The next batter Jimenez strikes out and up now is Paulino to get the drive a hit. Paulino gets a homerun, and the Drive are up 2-0 with Mayer up to hit. Mayer steps in and grounds to third to end the inning but the Drive gets 2 to take the lead 2-0.
Inning Four:
The Tourist first batter gets a homerun, and we are at 2-1 and the next batter up strikes out. The Tourist get a walk on the next batter and now have a runner at first. The runner steals second and now is in scoring position. The batter strikes out and we have two outs, runner on second base, and the Tourist trying to get another run in, he moves out as a wild pitch lets the runner get to third, he steps back and strikes out and its 2-1 going to the bottom of the 4th inning. The Drive get two outs as Jordan strikes out and its up to Ugueto to get the bats on fire again. he steps in and gets a single past the SS so we have a runner at first for Greenville with two outs. The pitching coach comes out and we have a break in the action. Fergusion steps up and he gets a single down the first base side and the runner gets to third, so we have runners on the corners. The Tourist have a pitching change, with that the Drive get a steal to second but umpire calls him back to first, and the batter steps in and hits a out and the inning is over, on to the 5th.

Inning Five:
The Tourist still down 2-1 will need to get going in this inning. The Tourist get a walk to start off the inning, the next batter steps in and gets a walk and we have runners on first and second with no outs, the hitter then gets a walk and the Drive Pitching Coach comes out to talk to his pitcher. The bases are loaded and no outs, the Tourist hitter steps in and he hits a Grand Slam and its now 5-2 in the top of the fifth. The Drive finally get a out, but we will have a pitching change as Encamacion is out and #36 Nick Decker is in for the Drive here with one out and the score 5-2. Decker steps in the Tourist gets a pop up to left that falls in and is almost thrown out at second. So, we have 1 out and a runner on second, and the next batter pops out and we have two outs now. Next batter for the Tourist strikes out and we are out of the top of the fifth inning and its 5-2. The Tourist will have a new pitcher coming in Batista, and the Drive have Jiminez up to bat and hits a shot down the third base line and gets a double as the Drive have a runner in scoring position, and the Tourist get a wild pitch and now the Runner is on third. Paulino steps in and gets thrown out at first but get a RBI as the runner at third scores and its 5-3 in the bottom of the 5th. Next batter Meidroth is now up to bat, he gets walked and the Drive have another runner on base and up is Mayer. Mayer steps in with just 1 out and a runner on first. He nails a pop up to RF and we have another out with Hickey up to bat. and he hits a line drive to get the third out.

Inning 6:
The Tourist head into the 6th up 5-3, and want to gain some insurance. the first batter strikes out, followed by another strike out and the Drive need one more to head to the bottom of the 6th. The next batter gets a walk and a runner now on first, the next batter hits into a throw out at first and we are at the bottom of the 6th and its 5-3. Blaze Jordan is up for the Drive as the fans are trying to get into the game, Jordan gets hit by a pitch and we have a runner on first, the next batter Ugueto hits a double down the third base line and we have runners at 2nd and 3rd with no outs. Fergusion is up to bat and he gets a hit down the first base line and gets two RBIs but gets thrown out at second, we have two outs now. Gonzales is up and he gets a walk and Jimenez is up to bat. Jimenez steps in and hits a single and we have runs at 2nd and 1st base with one out and a 5-4 ballgame. Paulino steps in and hits a out to centerfield and we have 2 outs. Meidroth steps in and gets a single up through the second baseman, and Greenville scores to tie the game up, and the runners are on the corners with two outs. Mayer steps up and gets a wild pitch and the runner from third scores and Greenville takes the lead 7-5. Mayer gets a walk and now we have runners at 2nd and 1st with two outs here in the bottom of the 6th. Hickey hits and its out and we are on to the seventh inning.

7th Inning:
The Tourist once again are behind, and the first batter gets a bloop single over the second baseman. The next batter strikes out and we still have a runner on first with one out. The next batter hits a single and the Tourist have a runner on second and first with one out. The next batter strikes out, and the Tourist have just one out left, next batter up and he strikes out. Its time for the 7th Inning Strech and the Drive lead 7-5 going to the bottom of the 7th. Jordan hits a blast to LF but its caught so and its out one. Ugueto is up and he strikes out so its two outs in the 7th, Fergusion is up and strikes out as the fans let the umpire here it.

8th Inning:
New Pitcher for the Drive Hoppe is in and the first batter is up and he strikes out now it’s one out, and the next batter gets up and he is out and its three up and three down for the Tourist, and we go to the bottom of the 8th. The Drive have Gonzales up and he strikes out for out one, next up is Jimenez hits a grounder and gets thrown out at first. Paulino is up and hits a grounder but makes it to first due to a error by the second basemen. Meidroth is up and he is out and we head to the top of the 9th inning.

Top 9th Inning
The tourist have 3 outs to get something done to come back, Greenville is looking for its Opening day and 1st win of the season. The first batter up has a broken bat blast to left but its caught for the first out. The next better up gets a walk and now the tieing run is on first. Next batter up gets a walk and runners are on 2nd and 1st. The pitching Coach is out to talk with his pitcher. The batter sets in and he and its a double play and the game is over 7-5
