The Paladins behind a great defense led by D Graduate Miya Poplin and Freshman Goalkeeper Reese DeJong, have shutout several games this year in conference play. The offense has also been able to make the scores to lead them on this quest for the SoCon title with F Sophomore Jenny Jacobson and MFF 5th Senior Nieva Gaither leading the charge.

Furman celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness month will be sporting their pink uniforms. Furman starts off with the ball and gets the first shot on goal but is just a tad to the side. The Moc’s get the first point when a blooper shot over the goalie hits the pole and goes in and the Mocs lead 1-0 in the 8th minute.

Furman halftime stats are as follows: 4 shots on goal, 2 corner kicks, 2 fouls, and 2 saves and one goal given up. Overall Furman played some great defense other than the one shot that hit the pole and went in over Reese DeJong’s head. Furman will need to come out on fire in the second half and set the tone for the rest of the game. Coach Burr has been able all year to make great adjustments at halftime so we will see how the team responds.
