The Kentucky Wildcats are entering a big week. They travel to Nashville on Tuesday night and get Gonzaga at home on Saturday afternoon. If Wildcats needs a get right game, this should be it, especially after losing back-to-back home games against Florida on Wednesday night and Tennessee Saturday night on ESPN Primetime last week. Vanderbilt is one of the worst 3-Point shooting teams in the country and many of their scoring chances come from Ezra Manjoy, ManJoy is back and as is guard Tyrin Lawrence.

My biggest concerns for Kentucky as of late besides the defense have been the rebounding and letting other teams get second chance opportunities. This past week Tre Mitchell has been battling back issues and didn’t play up to his season standards. The Cats need him healthy along with Aaron Bradshaw and Ugonna Qnyenso getting back to doing what Kentucky did early in the year. Getting on the glass and playing with fight and fire will be big keys to the game.
Vanderbilt also hasn’t been a great rebounding team either. Kentucky should have the size in this matchup as well.

Kentucky definitely needs DJ Wagner back in the worst way in terms of adding bodies to this team and its potential. Calipari said this past weekend after the Tennessee game that he expects Wagner back sooner rather than later. Hopefully it’s Tuesday night in Nashville in a game the Wildcats and their fans need to win.
If Kentucky wants to reach its potential and start earning back respect in the national media, it starts Tuesday night and onward. Kentucky dropped from Top ten in the AP poll all the way down to 17 this week. There is a lot of noise on the outside, can the Cats pull together and make a run? It starts Tuesday night in Nashville.
