The Greenville Drive walked into Game 1 after a rough ending to the season with a reason to show why they won the first half of the season, while the Hickory Crawdads wanted to make a impression why they were the second half champions.

The Crawdads jumped out to the lead with a run in the 2nd inning and was able to hold the lead till the 4th inning when the Drive was able to get a run in to tie the game 1-1 and then in the 5th inning the Drive get another run and take the lead 2-1.

Then in the 7th inning the Drive would take the lead with another run making it 3-1 before the Crawdad’s would score in the bottom of the seventh to make the score 3-2 and that would end up being the final score of the night as the Greenville Drive take Game 1 in the 3 Game series as it now heads back to Greenville Thursday night at Fluor Field at 7pm.
