Cope And Cage & The Young Bucks Vs. Death Riders | Eight-Man Tag Team Match | AEW Dynamite Results
The show opened with an eight-man tag match: AEW World Tag Team Champion Cope and Cage (“The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland and Christian Cage) and The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson) vs. Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, “The Bastard” Pac, and AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley). This was largely everyone rotating spots, with little intrigue or build. The finish saw Copeland accidentally hitting Matt, leading to a roll-up pinfall from Moxley.
Tommaso Ciampa Vs. Komander Vs. Andrade El Idolo | Casino Gauntlet Advantage Triple-Threat | AEW Dynamite Results
“Psycho Killer” Tommaso Ciampa, Komander, and AEW National Champion Andrade El Idolo had a triple-threat with the first spot in the upcoming Casino Gauntlet Match on the line. Komander was the first to awe, running on the top rope from one turnbuckle to the next, before leaping to the floor. The other two followed up with great intensity and physicality, and the match also had elite reversals and a fantastic flow. Andrade was the opportunistic winner and gets the advantage in the upcoming gauntlet to determine the number one contender.
MJF rushed the winner post-match, busting him open with his old AEW World Heavyweight Championship belt. He leaned into being an American and how terrible Mexico is, continuing to call the new champ, Kenny Omega, a fraud, before announcing himself as the second entrant in the upcoming number-one contender gauntlet match.
Divine Dominion & Mercedes Moné Vs. The Brawling Birds & Willow Nightingale | Trios Match | AEW Dynamite Results
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champion Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lenga Kross) teamed with “The CEO” Mercedes Moné for a trios match against The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor and Jaime Hayter) and AEW Women’s World Champion Willow Nightingale. Bayne and Kross stood out in this one for their strength and tandem moves, while Mone and Nightingale had a segment with multiple impressive reversals. The women’s champ ultimately pinned The CEO to pick up the pinfall victory for her team.
Mike Bailey Vs. Kyle Fletcher | AEW International Championship Match | AEW Dynamite Results
“Speedball” Mike Bailey had a shot at “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher (with Don Callis) and his AEW International Championship. The match started with a superb segment of endless reversals followed by high-level physicality, in part because Fletcher tossed Bailey like a lawn dart into the barricade.
The counters on counters as the match continued were truly awe-inspiring. Even the cardio was impressive, as this long one was relentless throughout. Furthermore, despite Fletcher feeling like the inevitable winner, Bailey had many believable near-falls, but a turnbuckle musclebuster allowed the champ to retain.
Don Callis Family Vs. Mistico, Jericho, & Darby Allin | Trios Match | AEW Dynamite Results
“The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada, Hechicero, and TNT Champion “The Jet” Kevin Knight teamed for a trios match against Mistico, Jericho, and Darby Allin. This was a typical, hectic AEW trios match; however, the spots were more than stereotypical. Allin pinned Knight to pick up the pinfall victory for his team.
Kris Statlander Vs. Persephone | Singles Match | AEW Dynamite Results
Kris Statlander vs. Persephone was next. This was a fairly straightforward match, with a neutral review. Thunder Rosa got involved, leading to the referee being taken out in the crossfire. Hikaru Shida took the opportunity to blindside Statlander, leading to Persephone’s victory.
Adam Page & Brodido Vs. The Demand | AEW World Trios Championship Match | AEW Dynamite Results
“Hangman” Adam Page and Brodido (ROH World Champion Bandido and Brody King) challenged The Demand (Ricochet and Gates of Agony) for their newly acquired AEW World Trios Championship. It was the big men showing off their athleticism early, with Brody King and the Gates of Agony. The finish saw Bandido use a suplex, along with Page hitting his Buckshot Lariat, to become the new trios champions.
Will Ospreay Vs. Mark Davis | Mexico City Street Fight | AEW Dynamite Results
One early spot felt like an insult to viewers’ intelligence, with the announcers trying to convince us Mark David threw Will Ospreay onto a fan, when the guy clearly knew how to take the bump. That said, they’d both go on to take some serious bumps of their own. Davis would cause the blood to pour down Ospreay’s face before sticking a fork into that wound.
With color all over his face, Davis executed a devastating slam onto a chair wrapped in barbed wire. Ospreay was then forced to eat some of that wire before finding the energy to right back with a chair shot.
The intensity didn’t stop there. Davis visibly tore Ospreay’s back open with barbed wire before taking a piledriver on the apron.
There was another awkward moment, where Davis seemingly forgot, or didn’t have it in him, to break up the ten-count. The referee physically helped him up, and the brutality continued. Once in the ring, he ate another piledriver in an unbelievable near-fall. Ospreay’s Hidden Blade ultimately picked up the pinfall victory.
