Seth Rollins & Bron Breakker | Credit to WWE
WWE Backlash wrapped up Saturday Night from the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida. On the card: a grudge match, student versus mentor, veteran versus up-and-comer. Who came out on top in Bron Breakker Vs. Seth Rollins?
Bron Breakker Vs. Seth Rollins
Rollins versus Breakker, accompanied by Paul Heyman, actually opened the show. The match was much slower than expected, and Breakker should really retire that sloppy Frankensteiner. The duo also unexpectedly had poor chemistry, botching a couple of spots.
Everything led to a point where Rollins hit a Stomp on his second attempt, leading to Heyman jumping on the apron. WWE World Tag Team Champions, The Vision (Austin Theory and Logan Paul).
Rollins handled the tag champs with a steel chair, and then countered a spear from Breakker into a Pedigree. He jumped to the top rope for a high spot, but he was then reversed into a spear. One more spear later, and Heyman jumped in the ring to celebrate.
In Conclusion
Considering all the build and trying to put over the younger talent, it’s a shame Bron Breakker Vs. Seth Rollins didn’t have the smoothest match. They are so talented, they’d have a more interesting match if they ran it back, but that’s wrestling. This negative review isn’t indicative of the overall opinions of the talents. These are undoubtedly two of the best on the roster, but this just wasn’t their night.
