AEW Dynamite Results – recap of the April 29, 2026, episode.
MJF Vs. Kevin Knight – AEW Dynamite Results
The opening match was MJF challenging “The Jet” Kevin Knight for the AEW TNT Championship. It was a relatively physical back-and-forth, but there’s never a clean finish in an MJF match. He’d try to distract the referee and use his Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Knight was ready for it. The Jet hit a low-blow and a roll-up to finish the match.
The Brawling Birds
The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor and Jayme Hayter) had a squash match with an unknown, already in the ring, tag team. Typically, after a squash, there’s a continuation of a storyline, but this had nothing.
Ace Austin Vs. Kazuchika Okada – AEW Dynamite Results
AEW International Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada had a title defense against Ace Austin. The challenger had his moments, but Okada had control for the majority of this slow-paced affair. For the thick catalogue of bangers Okada has, this was relatively boring and uneventful.
FTR, RPG Vice, The Conglomeration, Cope And Cage
The AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), accompanied by Big Stoke, joined the commentary team for the next match. Cope and Cage (Adam Copeland and Christian Cage) versus RPG Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Baretta), of The Don Callis Family, was next. There was commotion between FTR and The Conglomeration ringside, which didn’t apply to this match at all.
The match then got started as if nothing had happened. It was relatively physical and contained believable false finishes. Cope picked up the pinfall for his team’s victory.
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Match
Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida had a shot at the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship when they took on Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Cross). The opening few minutes of the match were choppy and concerning, but both teams really seemed to find their footing as the match went on. The challengers ultimately had some “work” chemistry issues, leading to the retention of the title.
Rush
“El Toro Blanco” Rush had a match against an unknown, who was already in the ring. Rush grabbed a microphone after his squash match victory, but it was only to get his catch phrase in.
Brody King Vs. Darby Allin – AEW World Heavyweight Championship
Brody King challenged Darby Allin for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship in the main event. Both men were taking some serious bumps in this one. These boys were flying through barricades, hitting cement directly, pulling power moves around the outside, and more. Allin picked up the pinfall after hitting his Coffin Drop, as King rolled in to break the ten-count.
AEW Dynamite Results, In Conclusion
Four championship matches, but no new champions in these AEW Dynamite results.
