The #3 Clemson was able to start with the lead in the first period, before the Irish was able to get back in the game and tie it up right before halftime at 5-5. The Tigers then would come out firing away and took the lead back after a 5-1 advantage in score in the third period. The Irish would battle back to score three to the Tigers one in the final period, but it was too little too late. The Tigers get the 12-9 win and advance in the ACC Women’s Lacrosse Tournament, while Notre Dame will head home to rebuild for next year.
