Friday brought the sting of two run‑rule losses to a potent Spartan lineup; Saturday offered redemption, as the Paladins pieced together a complete performance that culminated in a hard‑fought 3‑0 shutout. Across three games, Furman showed both what it’s capable of at its best and what it must tighten up as Southern Conference play continues.
Friday Game 1 — UNCG 8, Furman 0 (6 Innings)
It was a day that tested Furman early and often.
The first game of the doubleheader began as a defensive battle, but by the third inning, UNCG’s offense broke through against a Furman pitching staff that often had two runners on base.
