AEW Dynamite results including the return of MJF
This AEW Dynamite recap is from the March 4, 2026, stop in El Paso, Texas. There were multiple world title matches, and things are getting dangerous as Revolution edges closer.
Dynamite Recap – World Heavyweight Championship Match
One-Third of the AEW Trios Champions, “The Jet” Kevin Knight, had a shot at MJF and his AEW World Heavyweight Championship to open AEW Dynamite. Knight’s athleticism and high-flying carried the match early. MJF launched the referee into the ropes to avoid a three count.
Knight attempted to follow up, but his finisher was reversed. MJF retained his title, but he also put in work to help the challenger shine against a name-brand talent in a big spot.
Dynamite Recap – Cassidy & Allin Vs. The Dogs
“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin teamed up to take on The Dogs (“War Ready” Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors). This brawl started ringside before the bell could ring, or the completion of introductions. The teams traded tough bumps until the match finally got started before the commercial break.
After the break, Allin got the hot-tag to allow Cassidy into the match. One Orange Punch later, the babyfaces pulled out a physical victory. David Finlay jumped the winners from behind after the match, to make a surprise appearance, and seemingly start a faction with The Dogs.
Squash
The Brawling Birds (Jaime Hayter and Alex Windsor) versus The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay) was next. Strange booking for the recent hires of Lee and McKay to get buried already, and in a squash match at that.
One-third of the AEW World Trios Champions, “Hangman” Adam Page, had a squash match with someone who was already in the ring, and didn’t even get a graphic with his name. Page took just two moves before cutting a post-victory promo.
Adam Page & MJF
Page puts his dreams of ever winning the AEW World Heavyweight championship again, for an opportunity to win it in a Texas Death match at the upcoming Revolution. He was exchanging words with MJF when blindsided by The Don Callis Family. JetSpeed (“Speedball” Mike Bailey and Knight) saved Hangman from too much damage. The result of the segment was a trios title match scheduled for the main event, later that evening.
Dynamite Recap – Jon Moxley Vs. Hechicero
AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley had a qualifier match against Hechicero. If the challenger could pin the champ, he’d be rewarded with a shot at the title. The challenger looked dominant early on, and really showed the crowd some of his deep bag of submissions. Ultimately, it wasn’t enough.
Brody King & Swerve Strickland
Brody King cut an in-ring promo next. He called out Swerve Strickland, claiming to be truly the most dangerous man in AEW. Prince Nana provided the distraction for Strickland to blindside King.
Strickland followed up by wrapping a chain around King’s neck, and choking him unconscious over the ropes. Bandido saved his friend to end the segment.
Dynamite Recap – AEW Women’s World Championship Match
Thunder Rosa challenged Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Wrestling Championship. The champ had the win at one point, but picked up Rosa’s head to continue the punishment. The challenger put up a fight, but the champ retained.
Tommaso Ciampa & FTR
Renee Paquette was interviewing Tommaso Ciampa when FTR interrupted. Ciampa declined their invitation to join them and take over AEW, and these men will reunite on Collision.
Dynamite Recap – AEW World Trios Championship Match
As fans learned earlier, the main event of The Don Callis Family versus Jet Set Rodeo for the AEW Trios Championship was next. Always known for his pace and high-flying, Bailey seemed to find another level. All men had their moments to shine. The finish saw MJF take out Page, leading to Davis getting the pin for The Don Callis Family, and to become the new trios champs.
