CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Through one round of competition, No. 1 Wake Forest sits in fifth place and two-over-par with two rounds yet to play at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational at Finley GC in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Freshman Benedicte Brent-Petersen fired the low round of the day at four-under par, placing herself tied for second and one stroke off the leader. She carded a clean front nine with four birdies to start competition.

Junior Sarah Lydic and senior Macy Pate are tied in T22 at one-over a piece. Lydic recorded a bogey-free front nine with two birdies to open the round on holes 1 and 2.
Freshman Havanna Torstensson finished the day at four-over in T50 and junior Chloe Kovelesky five-over in T56.
