
The Winston Salem Dash (37-28) got a huge win over the Greensboro Grasshoppers (41-24) 5-4 after leaving 10 runners on base to 4 of the Grasshoppers. The Grasshoppers also had 3 homeruns in the game and seemed like they were going to get the win.

Sammy Stafura singles on a sharp line drive to left fielder Eddie Park in the 2nd which scores Edward Florentino and the Grasshoppers take the early lead 1-0. On to the 3rd when Murf Gray homers (10) on a fly ball to center field and the Grasshoppers get a 2-0 lead.

The Dash would battle back when Ely Brown singles on a ground ball to center fielder Edward Florentino, that allows James Taussig to score, and we are at 2-1 Dash down by one. Then Eddie Park singles on a ground ball to center fielder Edward Florentino, Rylan Galvan scores tying it up 2-2.

We then go to the 8th inning when Greensboro’s Tony Blanco Jr. homers (11) on a fly ball to left field making the score 3-2 Grasshoppers. The Hoppers wasn’t done yet, as Yordany De Los Santos homers (11) on a fly ball to left center field and its 4-2. The Dash didn’t give up, in the bottom of the 8th inning Kaleb Freeman doubles (7) on a fly ball to right fielder Josh Tate. Then Ely Brown walks, that allows George Wolkow to score, Kaleb Freeman goes to 3rd and Rylan Galvan to 2nd its now 4-3. Bryce Eblin singles on a line drive to center fielder Edward Florentino, Rylan Galvan scores with Ely Brown to 3rd and Eddie Park to 2nd. Kyle Lodise reaches on a throwing error by second baseman Sammy Stafura, and Ely Brown scores making the game 5-4 Dash. The Dash would then hold on to win in the nineth getting the Hoppers from scoring and win 5-4 in a battle of second place teams from the Sally North and South conferences.
