0 CARLSBAD, Calif. – The No. 8-seed Wake Forest women’s golf team has completed its opening round at the 2026 NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, Calif. The Deacs sit T27, with 36 holes left to climb the leaderboard.

Leading the Demon Deacons in her first time out at the NCAA Championship, freshman Cartoon Rujiranan opened the tournament at one-over, with a bogey-free back nine. Sophomore Chloe Kovelesky and junior Macy Pate turned in rounds at two-over, with two birdies apiece.

Senior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen totaled the most birdies of the Deacs during round one, with four total. Graduate student Morgan Ketchum tallied an under-par front nine and averaged two-under on par 4s, tied fourth among individuals.
