This AEW Collision recap is from the March 7, 2026, episode at the Tucson Arena in Tucson, Arizona. The Rascalz vs FTR, Claudio Castignoli versus Konosuke Takeshita, and so much more.
AEW Collision Recap: World Tag Team Championship Match
The opening match was for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The Rascalz (Zachary Went and Desmon Xavier) challenged the current champion, FTR (Dax Hardwood and Cash Wheeler). They laid in the strikes, but also kept a quick pace and smooth reversals. The only thing that took from this match was the constant advertising of FTR versus the Young Bucks for the title at Revolution.
AEW Collision Recap: Tomasso Ciampa Vs. Daniel Garcia
The next bout was Daniel Garcia versus “Psycho Killer” Tommasso Ciampa. Garcia gave Mark Briscoe, who was guest commentating, a cheap shot. This led to Briscoe trying to get ahold of his attacker, only to cost the Psycho Killer the match.
Briscoe tried to apologize, but to no avail. Ciampa blindsided and attacked him, including throwing him into the LED boards on the entrance ramp.
Swerve, Thekla, And More
Swerve Strickland versus Gravity was next. One had to feel for Gravity, who got no TV introduction for this squash match. He feels a higher level of talent than a squash jobber.
AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla came to the entrance ramp to respond to Kris Statlander’s video package requesting a two-out-of-three falls match at Revolution. In short, the champ declined, but then changed her own mind without being nudged.
AEW Collision Recap: Tag Team Action
Los Faccion Ingobernable (Dralistico and Rush), The Swirl (Blake Christian and Lee Johnson), Private Party (Isaiah Cassidy and Mark Quinn), and The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) faced off in a fatal-four way $200,00 match. The match was full of entertaining high spots and quick pacing. What it lacked in physicality, it made up for in athleticism.
Lena Cross and Megan Bayne versus Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa) was the next match. The finish saw Marina Shafir pull Storm under the ring, leading to Cross pinning Shirakawa.
The Dogs (“War Ready” Gabe Kidd, “100 Proof” Clark Connors, and David Finlay) have a match with three unknowns, who were already in the ring. This was an uneventful squash match.
AEW Collision Recap: Castagnoli Vs. Takeshita
The main event of this AEW Collision recap was CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli versus NJPW World Television Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita. Anytime fans get one of these stallions in singles action is always a treat. Their brute strength, combined with smooth reversals and entertaining wrestling, is unreal. Castagnoli but over Takeshita to aid in the building of his match with Jon Moxley at Revolution.
