These Elimination Chamber results mark the final stop on the road to WrestleMania. The number one contenders for the Men’s and Women’s WWE Championships were determined via the chamber, and the card had a couple of championship matches of its own.
Chamber Results – Women’s Elimination Chamber
The women’s chamber started with Kiana James and Tiffany Stratton. They had a generic battle to fill time until the first pod opened, allowing Asuka, followed by Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and Raquel Rodriquez, to enter, in that order.
Bliss had James set up for Sister Abigail, but she was Asuka’s mist, leading to her becoming the first elimination.
Rodriquez made the next big splash. After hitting a running power slam, she eliminated Asuka and James in the same pinfall. After the impressive double-elimination, she was hit by Ripley, who executed a cannonball-type splash from the top of the pod.
Rodriquez was the next woman eliminated, leaving Stratton and Ripley to go one-on-one. The finish was basic and uninteresting.
After pushing Stratton off the top rope, Ripley won the match with a straight-forward Riptide. There wasn’t much back-and-forth, many reversals, or intrigue.
Women’s WWE Intercontinental Championship – Becky Lynch (c) Vs. AJ Lee
The next contest had Becky Lynch defending the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against AJ Lee. Neither woman looked overly athletic in this slow matchup. Things led to a point where Lynch tapped out to the Black Widow, but the referee was out of commission.
Lynch tried to use the exposed turnbuckle, but the referee had none of it. This led to another Black Widow, this time, causing a tapout. The WWE Universe has a new Women’s Intercontinental Champion heading into WrestleMania.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship – CM Punk (c) Vs. Finn Balor
WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk defended that title against Finn Balor. Both men took their bumps in this physical matchup, and both had thrilling false finishers and hit their signature moves. They have no big plans for Balor, taking a clean loss in the final event before WrestleMania.
Chamber Results – Men’s Elimination Chamber
Cody Rhodes and Je’Von Evans started the Men’s Elimination Chamber. Following them were Trick Williams, “The Maverick” Logan Paul, and “The Megastar” LA Knight, before things got intriguing. Paul was launched off the top of a pod. What could have been a viral moment turned into a soft crossbody press on two opponents.
Randy Orton entered to finish the field. Evans hit the next high spot – a sloppy frog splash from the top of a pod. The spot cost him his opportunity, as Paul hit his finisher and pinned the young star. Knight slipped on the rope, leading to a low blow from The Maverick. Seconds later, The Megastar was eliminated from the match.
This is when the masked man in black made an appearance. On SmackDown the night before, an unknown man in black was unmasked. This man was also unmasked and unknown. This prompted yet another masked man to enter the chamber. He hit Paul with a curb stomp, allowing Rhodes to get the pin. Seth Rollins revealed himself and left the arena.
McIntyre decided to insert himself into another match. Down to the final two, he jumped Rhodes from behind. Orton joined his opponent to eliminate the threat, but struck when guards were down.
Chamber Results – In Conclusion
The mysterious crate that’s been teased on Raw and SmackDown leading up was finally opened. Inside was Danhausen. All the major championships have their WrestleMania destinies in sight, and there is a new Women’s WWE Intercontinental Champion.
