Brachbill Earns First Weekly Award

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Big South Conference has announced the first weekly award winners following opening weekend as High Point University’s Ty Brachbill was named Starting Pitcher of the Week.

Brachbill started game two for the Panthers making his Purple & White debut against the Saint Joseph’s University Hawks on Saturday, February 14. In six innings of work, Brachbill struck out nine batters, surrendering just two hits, and two walks, holding the opponent to a .105 batting average.

High Point is back on the diamond on Tuesday, February 17 for a mid-week road contest with No. 22 ranked Wake Forest University. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at David F. Couch Ballpark.
