These AEW Grand Slam Australia predictions will be answered tonight at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. The card features something for fans of all aspects. Whether it’s a funny gimmick, a wrestling clinic, or a bloody brawl, it’s destined to deliver. This is the final card, preview, and predictions, as of Saturday morning.
AEW Continental Title Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita
The Death Riders and The Don Callis Family have an ongoing, heated rivalry. Fans have seen it build to this point and seen enough multi-tag matches. To their credit, they’ve still brought intensity in these spots, which can easily get lost with too many men on the screen.

This is difficult to predict, but Jon Moxley could handle the loss better in terms of booking. He was jobbing for people before this current title run. The finish is certain to involve outside influences after they beat the life out of each other.
Various members of The Don Callis Family have protected Konosuke Takeshita leading up to the PPV, and fans can expect this to continue. If there isn’t a new champion, the finish was even dirtier than expected. It’d be something along the lines of the match being thrown out or disqualification.
Mixed Tornado Tag Team Match: Orange Cassidy & Toni Storm vs. Death Riders (Marina Shafir & Wheeler Yuta)
AEW’s two biggest gimmicks have seemingly won over the audience, in Orange Cassidy and Toni Storm. Whoever takes the pin in this match will get their head shaved – yet another gimmicky aspect to this equation. Wheeler Yuta may be the biggest heel in the match, and is known for growing his hair long and over his face. This will be a lighter spot on the evening, but look for Cassidy to pin Yuta.
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title Match: Babes Of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale) (c) vs. MegaBad (Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford)
Harley Cameron had her fifteen minutes and ridden Willow Nightingale’s coattails for long enough. She’s proven that she’s putting in the work, over with the crowd, and not afraid to go hardcore. There’s work to be done before reaching a genuine championship level.
Megan Bayne came in with some relative steam early on, but it seemed to cool when Penelope Ford was injured, and they temporarily paired her with Shafir. They are healthy, they’ve got the matching gear, and it’s time for a change.
AEW World Title #1 Contendership Match: Andrade El Idolo vs. “Hangman” Adam Page
Andrade El Idolo joined The Don Callis Family upon his return to AEW, which has given him a fairly hot start. Both men won their matches to earn this opportunity. Unfortunately for him, “Hangman” Adam Page fits the world title picture much better. MJF is the current champion, with Swerve Strickland and Kenny Omega on the periphery. This match should deliver pace, high spots, and physicality, but look for Andrade to take his first pin since returning.
AEW TNT Title Ladder Match: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mark Briscoe
Kyle Fletcher shocked the world on Wednesday after regaining the TNT Championship from AEW’s latest toy, Tommaso Ciampa. The ride didn’t end there, as this match was made during Fletcher’s post-match championship celebration. Both men are reliable and wild enough that an exciting ladder match is to be expected.
Dropping this title twice in the same week is a bit much, especially considering all the title drops of late. Fletcher also has the hometown advantage. Look for Briscoe to take a jaw-dropping fall, allowing the champion to climb the ladder and retain.
AEW World Title Match: MJF (c) vs. Brody King
AEW finally realized Brody King is a star, but they’ve booked him terribly to this point. He’s had nothing but squash matches since entering the title picture, without much on the mic to dissect. One would hope King gets an opportunity to put on the classic some already know he can, but MJF is the fairly safe choice.
AEW Grand Slam Australia Predictions – In Conclusion
This may be one of the best AEW PPV cards in recent history. They didn’t squeeze matches in for the sake of it, and there’s something on the line in all of them.
