WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event takes place Saturday, January 24, 2026, from the Bell Centre in Montréal, Québec, Canada. It’s a short card, but each contest looks promising.
Saturday Night’s Main Event – Cody Rhodes Vs. Jacob Fatu
On an episode of SmackDown in early January, Cody Rhodes lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre in a Three Stages of Hell match. Not to be forgotten is the fact that Jacob Fatu attacked both men in the final stage, a steel cage match. This interaction ultimately led to McIntyre becoming the new champion.
The number one contender match may not include them, but they are certain to bring a show for Saturday Night’s Main Event. There’s a high possibility that whoever wins this match will continue in the Undisputed WWE Championship picture, but a loss could take them out of the frame.
That brings up the decision for the finish. It’s difficult to imagine the returning Fatu taking a pin to slow his hot roll. On the other hand, their top babyface, who just lost the title, can’t take another loss.
This prediction has McIntyre getting involved, and the match being thrown out. The angle could be payback to Fatu for attacking him in the Three Stages of Hell, or he’s trying to remove them from the title picture. That may lead to both men being added to the future title match, which includes the winner of the number one contender match determined on the same card.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – Rhiyo Vs. Judgement Day
Rhiyo (Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky) will be defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Judgement Day (Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez). The champs just won these titles earlier this month from The Kabuki Warriors, so that’d be a quick drop. It’d be an odd decision to strip the hotter women’s tag teams in recent history, only to give it back to Judgement Day. They already used these titles for a heel-turn months ago, and another quick drop will further diminish the value of the championship.
Undisputed WWE Championship #1 Contender – Orton Vs. Priest. Vs. Williams Vs. Zayn
The fatal four-way number one contender match features Randy Orton, Damian Priest, Trick Williams, and Sami Zayn. This will be a great showcase spot for the up-and-coming Williams, but that’s far too soon. Priest had his opportunity with the title, but it went cold quickly, and he hasn’t shown many new wrinkles in his game since.
With the match happening in Montreal, Zayn has a genuine chance in this one, but Orton makes the most sense in the billing sense. Orton is the only one who’s seen the title picture recently. Who’s been seen around Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre the most lately?
