The Anderson Trojans Women’s Basketball (5-7, 1-5 SAC) came into tonight’s contest as a huge underdog versus Coker Cobras (11-1, 6-0 SAC). The Lady Trojans was able to lead 24-17 in the the first period of play, then turned it up to keep the lead into halftime 38-29 behind some great defense.

The Cobras would battle back in the third and out score the Trojans by a point 13-12 and take the score into the fourth and final period 50-42. The Cobras would bring it into a single possession and take the lead with 3 minutes left at 58-57. The Lady trojans would keep battling and not let Coker pull away and with one minute remaining the score is 62-61 Coker.

The Game would end with the Lady Trojans falling just short 64-61 after several missed shots down the stretch cost the Lady Trojans the game. Ciara Harris had 16 points and 9 rebounds in a losing effort for the Trojans.

The Trojans would hold on for a 88-55 win and move to 13-0 with a huge game Saturday in Anderson.
