These AEW Collision results have more filler than one would want. That said, it also had many entertaining matches. The Don Collis Family is running rampant, and tons of great luchadors were on the show.
Dynamite Results: El Clon Vs. Angelico
Both men were showing off their deep luchador movesets, but El Clon appeared to be the more physical. El Clon won a short match after hitting a Blue Thunder Bomb. Serpentico went to check on his friend after the loss before the winner jumped him as well. Lucky for the luchadors, they had more friends in the back.
Dynamite Results: Timeless Love Bombs Vs. Hyan & Maya World
The match felt heartless, with nobody even breaking a sweat. The predictable ending was also the finish. This was primarily to showcase Toni Storm’s aging gimmick to the fans, rather than focusing on booking or wrestling.
Dynamite Results: Megaproblem Vs. Chanel & Dior
It’s hard to invest in a match in which Marina Shafir and Meghan Bayne are taking on the classic “already in the ring.” The intro for the two regulars was longer than the squash match itself.
Dynamite Results: Hechicero Vs. Kommander
This was a number one contender match for the TBS Championship. Within moments, Komander was shoot launched into the barricade. The bump was insane. From there, Hechicero went to commit the ultimate lucha sin, ripping the mask.
After that, Kommander hit the move and high-spot of the night with his springboard repertoire. They protected him in the loss by giving Hechicero assistance from the Don Callis Family. He will face Mark Briscoe on next week’s episode of Collision for the title.
Dynamite Results: JetSpeed Vs. Big Bill & Bryan Keith
This was an entertaining, physical, back-and-forth affair. JetSpeed was obviously the highlight of the match, which led to their victory.
Darby Allin Vs. Wheeler Yuta
It was good to see them laying things in stiff. Shafir was kicked from ringside, which actually helped Yuta take advantage of the distracted referee. Of course, a babyface comeback was due. Darby Allin hit consecutive Coffin Drops before finishing him off with the Scorpion Deathlock.
Shelton Benjamin Vs. Dante Martin
Dante Martin is always good for some high-flying entertainment, but Shelton Benjam was too strong for the young star. Martin felt the need to mention Benjamin’s Mama after he was knocked out to the floor. He was then beaten senseless.
