All-American Player for Kentucky
Transfer graduate senior point guard Georgia Amoore will repeat on the National All-American team as a Kentucky Wildcat this season.

After being selected as a 2nd team All-American last season with Virginia Tech, she will at least match that or better. This would be only the fifth ever All-American selection in Kentucky Women’s Basketball history, with the last being Rhyne Howard in 2020. Expect a high scoring leader who could lead the SEC or even the country in assist this season.
Two Players Make All-SEC Teams
There are eight players usually selected on each of two teams named to the All-SEC postseason teams. Georgia Amoore will certainly make the All-SEC teams as an All-American candidate.
Looking forward to seeing what @CoachBrooksUK and the Wildcats do this upcoming season, especially with @ClaraStrack starting in the middle.

Strack showed up for the Hokies in the absence of Elizabeth Kitley averaging 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 3.0 blocks in her… pic.twitter.com/KawrF9Sus7
I predict that sophomore center Clara Strack will make a big splash as high-level post player in the tough SEC landscape. Coach Brooks plays inside out and with Strack having superb post moves I predict a season where Clara makes a statement on the national stage in her first year in the SEC. She will reach 15 points and seven rebounds per game or more.
6’7” Center Clara Silva Makes The All-SEC Freshman Team
Silva is from Portugal and having to adjust to a new country, culture, and food, but on the basketball floor she is as talented as nearly any freshman in the country. Several recruiting analysts have said if Silva wasn’t an international prospect that she would have been in the top ten of the 2024 recruiting rankings. A star on the under 18 FIBA circuit, she has excellent footwork, and post moves along with a smooth shooting stroke around the basket.

This was before Big Blue Madness
She has the skills to be a star. She had 8 pts w/4 of 5 shooting & a very pretty post step back in the Blue/White Game in limited minutes#WBB #BBN #SEC@KentuckyWBB@CSCast_ @JhSpors pic.twitter.com/5JhSMf7taK
The SEC is loaded with incoming freshman talent, including seven McDonalds All-Americans, four Gatorade Players of the Year, and at least ten players with national team experience. However, as the season goes along and Clara Silva adjust to the faster play in the SEC, we will see her rise to an All-SEC Freshman level. She could be among the leaders of the SEC in blocks per game.
Kentucky Will Finish Top Six in a Loaded Women’s SEC
The SEC is loaded with top coaches and teams like Dawn Staley – South Carolina, Vic Schafer – Texas, and Kim Mulkey – LSU. Others like Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and more are expected to make NCAA appearance runs. If Coach Kenny Brooks and Kentucky in his first season in the SEC can make a top 6 finish in the SEC, that would be an impressive feat.
The Wildcats have been tabbed No. 22 in the USA Today Preseason Women's Basketball Coaches Poll.

Like the AP preseason poll, this, too, will mark the 11th time in the past 15 seasons that UK has earned a preseason ranking from the coaches.https://t.co/ltFR6eq1gn
I’m predicting a 10-6 regular season record in the SEC with this talented group of players Coach Brooks has put together. This would be good enough for a 6-seed in the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament in Greenville, South Carolina in March.
23 Plus Wins in Year One of the Kenny Brooks Era
The women only play 28 regular season games. Kentucky Women’s Basketball will finish the regular season 20-8 and then play in the SEC and NCAA Tournaments.

The Wildcats will make their presence known with a few wins in postseason play. Possibly making the second weekend in the NCAA Tournament in Coach Brooks first season as the Cats coach. After a couple of down seasons, the Big Blue Nation will have a season of excitement and one to build upon in the Kenny Brooks era.
