WWE Raw opened this week with Liv Morgan, accompanied by Dominik Mysterio, in the ring for a promo. They were quickly interrupted by Liv’s opponent for the upcoming Premium Live Event, Rhea Ripley. She announced that Dominik will be suspended above the ring, in a shark cage, for their match. Who will be the champion after Bad Blood?

The first match of the night would be Sami Zayn versus Ludwig Kaiser. Kaiser would start out strong, with excellent striking and power moves. He would even toss Sami over the barricade into the timekeeper’s area, taking the show into a commercial break. Zayn would hit a couple of reversals after the break, but Kaiser was still largely in control. Kaiser would get in the referee’s face after being caught using the ropes for leverage in a pinfall. Zayn would go for a comeback, only for Kaiser to hit a powerful lariat in the reversal. Zayn would show his heart and determination, somehow kicking out of all the damage and finding the right opportunity to hit the Helluva Kick. After the match, Gunther would come to the ring and grab a microphone. Zayn has been repeatedly denied his requests for a championship match over the past few weeks. Gunther would hype up the crowd, saying it’s time he gets the answer he deserves. Gunther would have a laugh and let Sami know that the answer is still no.

Next up, Dragon Lee (with LWO) versus Carlito (with Judgment Day). Dragon Lee would win after a brawl between the factions on the outside. A rather short contest that felt like another forced match in this storyline.

The Miz would take on Bronson Reed next. During Reed’s entrance, Braun Strowman would jump Reed out of nowhere from the crowd. Security would try to separate the two, but they would take out every single security member in the building to keep the fight going. The two would fight to the top rope, where security was finally able to separate the two. These two have been having vicious brawls for weeks.

Drew McIntyre would come to the ring for another promo, ahead of their trilogy match coming up at Bad Blood. He would talk about how brutal Hell in a Cell matches are, and how he is ready to end CM Punk inside the cell.

The Unholy Union would take on Damage CTRL in tag team action. Iyo Sky really stood out in this match, showing great pace, reversals, and move set. The match itself had good back-and-forth action, resulting in Sky hitting her Over the Moon Sault to get the pinfall victory.

New Day versus The Creed Brothers would be next. The Creeds were able to single out Xavier Woods for quite a lengthy time, but Woods would eventually hit a huge dropkick, creating the opening for the hot tag. Kofi Kingston would take on both brothers, really showing off his pace and high-flying abilities. Kingston would tag in Woods before taking out one of the brothers on the outside. Woods would climb to the top but was distracted by Chad Gable. So much so that he pulled Gable into the ring and started raining down blows. The distraction would allow The Creed Brothers to attack, costing New Day the match.

The main event of Raw was for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, when Jey Uso challenged Bron Breakker. Breakker was largely dominant throughout, although both men had some good false finishes. Breakker would hit a spear on the outside and roll Jey into the ring for another spear, only for Jey to reverse it into a spear of his own. He would then hit a frog splash, yet somehow Breakker kicked out. Jey would follow it up by spearing Breakker through the barricade on the outside, then a spear in the ring, and another frog splash. This time, Jey Uso was successful in the pin and is your new WWE Intercontinental Champion!
