This season at College SportsCast each week we will release our current CFP ranking on Monday before our weekly Tuesday evening The Big Fuss Show. The long awaited 12-team playoff is finally here for 2024. Our ranking will include who we think we be the Group of Five participant in the new 12-team playoff

1-4 will be Power 4 conference winners, 5-11 will be at-large teams, and 12 will be the leading Group of Five conference team. Each week we will include at least 2 more honorable mention at-large teams and 2 more honorable mention Group of Five teams.
Week four of college football was lead by Tennessee and Josh Heupel’s return to Norman to take on the Oklahoma Sooners. A great road win 25-15 for the Vols highlighted the weekend. Michigan had a good rebound win 27-24 at home over USC in their first ever Big 10 road trip to Ann Arbor. The Utah Utes went on the road to Stillwater at take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys for their first ever Big 12 road trip and made a statement. Winning 22-19 with good defense without starting QB Cameron Rising.

BYU made a loud statement in Provo and the top 15 ranked Kansas State Wildcats, winning a stunner 38-9 at home. The Cougars are 4-0 and a player in the Big 12 race early in the season. On Friday night, Illinois made a big statement In Lincoln, Nebraska. Winning on the road after the Cornhuskers hot 3-0 start. The Fighting Illini also made noise in the Big 10 with the win.

We look forward to an exciting 2024 season. The opening round of the College Football Playoffs being on campus of the 5-8 teams will bring an unbelievable atmosphere element to the CFP. Sorting out the season and which teams are on top for the chance to make the first 12-team playoff will be full of ups and downs and College Sportscast will be there for all the action.
