Friday Night Clemson Men’s Soccer (4-1-2, 2-1-0 ACC) got a huge win 1-0 over ACC rival Wake Forest (2-3-3, 0-1-1 ACC) during Alumni Night at Riggs Field. The fans packed the stadium to relive all three national championship teams which was honored at halftime.

The game itself was a defensive battle going into halftime 0-0, and continued that way till the 52′ minute when Joran Gerbet scored the first goal of the match and his second goal of the season. The goal would stand to be the game winner as Clemson gets the win in front of the sellout crowd and alumni from all its championship teams. Wake was held to one shot on goal

Joseph Andema had five saves in the match while earning his third shutout of the year. The Tigers outshot Wake Forest 19-13 and earned six corners to Wake Forest’s one. The Tigers will host Liberty on Tuesday at Riggs Field at 7pm so make sure to get your tickets at clemsontigers.com
