AEW Dynamite would open this week with Orange Cassidy taking on Chris Jericho. This match was pretty good, while at the same time, nothing extraordinary. Jericho would end up putting Orange through a table in the timekeeper’s area to take us into the first commercial break. After the break, Kyle O’Reilly would get rid of the distraction that was Big Bill to keep it one-on-one, and Orange Cassidy would not let the assistance go to waste, securing the pinfall victory after a decent back-and-forth finish.
What more does Orange Cassidy have to do?!

Hook would take on already in the ring, JD Ink, with Roderick Strong on commentary. After the short squash match, nothing transpired – very strange booking.

Serena Deeb and Mariah May versus Queen Aminata and Yuka Sakazaki in a tag match. Yuka definitely stood out as the star of the match before Mariah May was intentionally disqualified for attacking Yuka with her championship belt.
#AEW Women's World Champion "The Glamour" Mariah May has had enough of "The Magical Girl" Yuka Sakazaki!

The next segment saw Private Party beaten down by Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, Pac, and Jon Moxley. Private Party did initiate the attack during their entrance after being attacked last week, but they underestimated the group. Kommander ran out to help but was quickly shut down by Claudio. Moxley grabbed a hammer and a microphone, asked why they hadn’t advanced their spot in the five years they had been there, and then hit Zay Cassidy in the hand/wrist with the hammer. Darby Allin rushed Jon Moxley before they faced off in the ring. Moxley avoided a strike from a skateboard and rolled out of the ring. Darby grabbed the mic and claimed he would be victorious in their upcoming number one contender match and become the next AEW World Champion.
Is that a hammer?!

Ricochet versus The Beast Mortos was the next contest. Aside from a slight miss on one high spot, this was a great match. If Mortos had been able to catch him when Ricochet jumped over the ropes at him, it would have added to the strength versus high-flyer storyline, but they had numerous great spots otherwise. They also could have used more time. Ricochet wins an interesting matchup.
The elevation on that Samoan Drop was insane!

The next segment was an in-ring interview with Adam Page. He was discussing Swerve Strickland before taking issue with Tony’s commentary, even getting in his face before Jeff Jarrett ran to the ring. Page and Jarrett would be separated by security. Jarrett would grab a mic and promise to kick his ass if it was the last thing he did.
Thank goodness Jeff Jarrett came out to stop Hangman Adam Page!

The main event of Dynamite was a trios match: Will Ospreay, Konosuke Takeshita, and Kyle Fletcher versus The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada. Great job working everyone in and maintaining a good pace, which only increased as the match progressed. This all led to a hectic and high-flying finish, resulting in Kyle Fletcher securing the pinfall victory for his team.
These Trios are leaving it all on the line in tonight's Main Event!
