WWE Raw opened this week with CM Punk in the ring, microphone in hand. He is set to face Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood. Punk vowed to make McIntyre bleed and is prepared to die to end this rivalry.

The first match of the evening saw Sheamus take on Pete Dunne. The two had been involved in numerous brawls leading up to this match, ever since Pete Dunne turned heel at the expense of Sheamus. This was a fairly physical matchup with a few good false finishes. Pete Dunne won with the aid of a weapon while the referee was distracted.

Jey Uso and Bron Breakker faced off on the microphones in promotion of their upcoming title match next week. Jey Uso took a shot at Breakker’s NFL career before Breakker initiated the fight. Jey fought back and hit a spear to end the segment.

The WWE World Tag Team Championship was on the line when the New Day challenged Judgment Day. The New Day did a great job showcasing their tandem moveset early on. The rest of Judgment Day came down the ramp but were quickly fought off by the LWO. Xavier Woods appeared to have the win if not for the referee being distracted by the LWO and Judgment Day. Judgment Day took advantage of the situation to retain their titles. After the match, there was some friction between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, perhaps hinting at a crack in the New Day.

Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman would have a heavyweight rematch, with their last match ending with a splash through the roof of a car. At the start of this one, Reed was thrown into the corner, and the top rope completely collapsed. They would fight to the outside, where Reed grabbed someone from the crowd and launched them at Strowman like a missile. Reed would celebrate for a moment too long and would get a running cross-body through the barricade before the referee called off the match. The fight would continue nonetheless, all the way up the ramp and backstage. Reed would hit a Tsunami on Strowman through a table before getting speared through a gyprock wall. This rivalry is turning out to be a great one.

Sami Zayn came to the ring for a promo next. He explained how the segment with Bret Hart last week is motivation for him to become the next World Heavyweight Champion, and a fighting champion at that. He went on to tell us that the current champion, Gunther, has repeatedly declined his request. He called Gunther scared when Ludwig Kaiser came to the top of the ramp. In short, he said Gunther is the most dominant wrestler and is saving Sami from himself. Zayn retorted with how Gunther doesn’t need him and he is just Gunther’s mouthpiece before Gunther came down to the ring. Gunther and Ludwig started a conversation before Ludwig attacked Sami Zayn, beating him to the ground and holding him up for Gunther, who let Sami know the answer remains no. Zayn fought back to get some damage on Ludwig, but the match remains unbooked.

Iyo Sky versus Bianca Belair was the next contest. It was a good match with great reversals. Belair showed off her strength, including holding Iyo in a delayed suplex position on the floor and walking up the stairs to throw her over the ropes. Iyo would reverse Belair’s finisher and win with a roll-up off of that.

The main event of this week’s episode of Raw was Damian Priest versus Dominik Mysterio. Priest began the match with anger and strength, quickly gaining control. Mysterio managed to fight back for a while, but that only seemed to enrage Priest further. Priest even fought off a distraction from Finn Bálor, only to have Liv Morgan place Mysterio’s foot on the rope during the three-count. Rhea Ripley rushed Liv Morgan, and Priest took advantage, hitting his South of Heaven Chokeslam to secure the pinfall. Judgment Day was quick to attack Priest after the bell until Jey Uso made his way down to the ring. Bron Breakker suddenly appeared and speared Uso before he could reach the ring. Judgment Day continued their beatdown on The Terror Twins and stood tall to conclude this episode of Raw.
