Zebulon, NC- The Carolina Mudcats (-) played host to the Down East Wood Ducks (-) in a Saturday Evening Contest. The playoff bound Mudcats entered tonight 4 games back of the Fredericksburg Nationals (-) in the second half standings. The Mudcats sent Bishop Letson (-) to the mound who entered tonight with a 3.23 ERA in 39 innings pitched. The Wood Ducks sent Willian Bormie (-) to the mound who entered tonight with a 3.80 ERA in 45 innings pitched.
Down East got on the board in the top of the first when Echedry Vargas was scored on a 4-6-3 double play which gave Down East a 1-0 lead.
