AEW Dynamite opened this week with AEW International Champion Will Ospreay in the ring, addressing the crowd. He stated how MJF is one of the most insecure men in wrestling before calling him out. MJF appeared on the jumbotron and, among other things, called Ospreay a joke. The two will face off next week on Dynamite for the AEW International Championship.

Bryan Danielson and Adam Page faced off in the finals of the Owen Hart Tournament, with Jeff Jarrett ringside as a special enforcer. Both men were quick and stiff early on. It didn’t take long for Danielson to get busted open. There wasn’t much technical wrestling to be had, but these two certainly left it all in the ring. At one point, Jeff Jarrett was checking on Danielson when Page put his hands on Jarrett. Jarrett showed restraint. Eventually, the referee was knocked out, and “Hangman” Adam Page started hitting Danielson with a belt. Jeff Jarrett stepped in and told Page to stop it, but Page shoved him to the ground. Jarrett got up and took off his shirt to reveal a referee’s shirt. Danielson somehow kicked out of a Deadeye from Page before reversing a Buckshot Lariat. The ending of this match had some amazing reversals and false finishes. Danielson ultimately won the match and the Owen Hart Tournament. As a result, he will get a title shot at Wembley Stadium. Swerve Strickland interrupted the trophy presentation and got the ring cleared out for a promo. He talked about Will Ospreay and congratulated Bryan Danielson before announcing he would be a part of Team AEW at Blood & Guts.

Samoa Joe and Chris Jericho would take part in a street fight. Joe would be in control until he took his eyes off Jericho to take out Bryan Keith. Jericho would recuperate and bring out horseshoes (in place of tacks as they were in Calgary during Stampede week). Jericho went for the weapons too quickly, it seemed, as Joe would reverse Jericho onto the horseshoes. The two would fight through the crowd all the way to the back. Big Bill would appear from a locker room and hit Joe with a chair. Bryan Keith would reappear, and it would quickly turn into a 3-on-1. They would put Joe onto a forklift and drive him straight through a wall. Joe would be knocked out cold, and the doctor would declare Jericho the victor.

Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Ishii, and Kyle Fletcher would have a four-way match to determine the number one contender for the AEW International Championship. There was a ton of pace and high-flying in this one, as well as some great false finishes. PAC would ultimately win via submission.

Mercedes Moné would be in the ring celebrating her title win, this time with extra security. Her toast was interrupted by Britt Baker, who took out security to get to the ring. Moné would retreat, leaving the ring to Baker to end the segment.

The main event was the Women’s Owen Hart Finals, featuring Mariah May versus Willow Nightingale. Like the men, the winner here would also get a title shot. The match itself was pretty good, but it lacked some of the intensity and stiffness of the previous matches. Kris Statlander appeared when the referee was distracted to deliver a blow to Willow Nightingale, but she managed to kick out. Willow appeared to be on her way to victory only to lose via a simple roll-up. It felt like a strange way to end the Owen Hart Tournament. After the match, Mariah would unexpectedly turn on her long-time friend and current champion, Toni Storm. Mariah would put Luther through tables and bust Toni open with the belt and then with a high heel show.
THE WHOLE TIME?! Mariah May seems OVERLY excited to be facing her mentor #AEW Women's World Champion "Timeless" Toni Storm at #AEWAllIn!
