WWE Raw opened this week with CM Punk in the ring, cutting a promo. This was, of course, directed at Drew McIntyre. He requested that Drew McIntyre’s suspension be lifted so they could have a match. This strangely brought out Seth Rollins. Seth asked him why he interfered in his business (interrupting the title match at Money in the Bank). Punk claimed to be solely focused on Drew McIntyre. As a result of losing the title match, Seth can no longer challenge Damian Priest for the championship again. He is now focused on CM Punk’s return.

Chad Gable versus Jey Uso would be the first match of the night. They were having a great match (for the short time it lasted) before Chad Gable would be distracted by the Wyatt Sicks. Jey Uso would hit a spear to win before running in fear of the upcoming. Sister Abigail would have another box for the announce team. It would contain another VHS that would be played later in the evening.

Bronson Reed versus Pete Dunne would be next. Bronson would win the rather short match. Afterward, he would try to add additional damage but was stopped by Sheamus. Pete Dunne then walked out on Sheamus, seemingly upset about the breakup of their faction.

Sami Zayn would be in the ring for a promo next, fresh off a successful title defense at Money in the Bank. This promo was quickly interrupted by the man Sami defeated at Money in the Bank, Bron Breakker. Bron would get the better of Sami, hitting a spear before being pulled off Sami by security. Bron would break free from security to hit another vicious spear. Ilja Dragunov would come to Sami’s aid to end the segment.

J.D. McDonagh, Finn Bálor, and Carlito would take on Awesome Truth and Braun Strowman in a six-man tag match. The babyface team would jump their opponents before the bell to help them gain control early. Judgment Day would make a match of it until The Miz hit Braun Strowman with the hot tag. Braun would run through all three of his opponents before tagging in R-Truth. R-Truth would take too long chanting with the crowd, allowing Finn Bálor to take advantage, leading to the pinfall victory. There is an ongoing storyline between The Miz and R-Truth about Truth costing Miz repeatedly.

It would be at this point they played the VHS. Bo Dallas would have another amazing and intriguing video segment, this time talking about how he brought together the forgotten members of his faction into one big sick family.

Ilya Dragunov faced Bron Breakker in the next match. Breakker was angry, having just lost his WWE Intercontinental Championship match at Money in the Bank. This was a stiff and powerful match with great reversals each way. Unfortunately, Bron resorted to using an announcer’s chair on Ilya, resulting in his disqualification. Sami Zayn came to Ilya’s rescue, preventing further harm. Sami and Bron brawled, ultimately resulting in Bron emerging victorious. He then inflicted more damage on Ilya before celebrating to end the segment.

Damage CTRL faced Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, and Lyra Valkyria in a six-woman tag team match. The fast-paced match featured good back-and-forth action. Damage CTRL ultimately won the match before being attacked by Zoey Stark, Shayna Baszler, and Sonya Deville.

The main event of Raw this week was a mixed tag match featuring Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega taking on Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan. This went about as expected, with Dom put in precarious situations while Liv played into it. Liv would ultimately distract the referee while Dominik was in trouble, allowing Liv to push Rey off and Dominik to follow up with a frog splash that led to victory. Liv and Dom would be left in another very sexual situation during their victory celebration. This led to the surprise return of Rhea Ripley. This is sure to have huge ripple effects on the title picture, Judgment Day, and Dominik Mysterio specifically.
