The Atlanta Braves are getting hot right here at the mid-way point of the season after such a massive hit with injuries. Though it is still early, and they have had issues at the plate, pitching has kept the Braves in games so far this year even with injuries to its top stars.

Atlanta will be looking for hitting and pitching help before the trade deadline, it remains to be seen what the crafty GM AA will do to booster his line up for the stretch towards the playoffs. Braves right now are 46-35 and are 7 games back from the Phillies and sit in the wild card spot with the Padres.

The braves today could sweep the Pirates and lead them into a huge series with the Giants during the 4th of July holiday. The Braves bats need to get hot and stay hot if they have any chance of chasing down the Phillies and staying in the playoff hunt.
