WWE RAW opened with Liv Morgan in the ring for a promo. She would first talk about winning the title against Becky Lynch before moving to a discussion about kissing Dominik Mysterio last week. This would bring Dominik to the ring. He would tell Liv that his on-screen girlfriend, Rhea Ripley, is going to kill her when she returns. Liv would let him know that she meant it when she said she would take everything from Rhea, championship and boyfriend. Finn Balor would break up the seductive approaches to end the segment.
Is it getting hot in here? 👀

The next match was Sheamus versus Ludwig Kaiser. Ludwig would blindside Sheamus during his entrance, leaving doubt about the match heading into the commercial break. After the break, we would see that Sheamus would not back down, and the match would start. Ludwig would get the better of Sheamus early on, chopping his chest to the point of bleeding and even spitting on him after getting him down. They would then focus on an injury caused by Ludwig to Sheamus during the King of the Ring tournament. Every time it appeared Sheamus was mounting a comeback, Kaiser would shut it down quickly. You don’t often see such lengthy spans of dominance from Sheamus like this. Ludwig Kaiser would get a little too cocky and try to use Sheamus’ own move on him. Sheamus would reverse this into his first real spell of offense. Sheamus would continue for a while before Kaiser was able to hit a big maneuver on the injured knee, nearly causing the referee to stop the match. Sheamus would physically stop him before asking Ludwig, “Is that all you’ve got?” Sheamus would slap Ludwig silly before hitting a big knee. Sheamus would go for his Brogue Kick, but his injured knee gave out. He would try to carry Kaiser to the top rope before his knee gave out once again. Kaiser would take advantage and win a very physical and entertaining match.

The next match was between Dragon Lee and Finn Bálor. Lee took the offense early with a fast-paced and high-flying move set heading into the commercial break. Finn appeared to be mounting a comeback after the break, but Dragon Lee hit some incredible reversals. Dragon Lee has an amazing move set. It took JD McDonagh distracting the referee while Carlito hit Dragon Lee for Finn Bálor to win this match. Judgment Day jumped Dragon Lee after the match, but Braun Strowman and Rey Mysterio came to his aid. Braun Strowman ran straight through everybody, causing Judgment Day to retreat, ending the segment.

Sami Zayn would come to the ring and propose that Chad Gable come to the ring without Alpha Academy and put an end to all of their beef. The exact opposite would happen, as Chad sent Alpha Academy out there without him to deliver a message. After the message including insults for everyone, they would announce the match between Sami Zayn and Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship at Clash at the Castle. Zayn would move on to try to convince Alpha Academy they don’t need to put up with Gable, before Gable jumped Sami from behind. Gable would then move on to humiliate all of Alpha Academy before Otis finally went face to face with Gable. Sami Zayn would then attack Gable, but the fight would knock down and hurt Maxxine. Otis would see this as Sami’s fault and hit him with a powerslam before assisting Maxxine and Tazawa to the back.

The next match would be a grudge match of sorts between Ricochet and Bron Breakker. Breakker speared Ricochet during his classic match with Ilja Dragunov last week on Raw. The two would have a good back and forth early, Ricochet with some high-flying moves early before Bron lifted him over his head and threw him onto the barricade for a commercial break. The two would continue to have a good match, Ricochet hitting smooth reversals off of Bron’s power-based move set. Breakker would end up hitting a Spear on Ricochet’s injured ribs to pick up the pinfall victory. Breakker would attack Ricochet after the match, throwing him into the steel steps and was about to slam them over his head before Ilja Dragunov would come to his aid to end the segment.

Natalya would lose a rather quick and lackluster match to the debuting Kiana Jane’s via her 401K finisher.

The next match would see Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill take on Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. It would seem Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill were set up for victory before Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn would ruin the match, jumping Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. Fyre and Dawn would face off with Stark and Baszler in the ring to end the segment.

The next match would see the New Day taking on the Authors of Pain in a tag team match. Surprisingly, this would be a squash match, as the Authors of Pain would not let Xavier Woods make a tag and would win in minutes.

The main event match featured Rey Mysterio taking on the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest. Both men got their offense in. Priest looked strong, and Mysterio, the veteran who has battled his share of giants, got his spots in as well. The end of the match was sloppy, with a very loose top-rope hurricanrana into a poorly judged setup for a 619. Judgment Day rushed toward the ring as it appeared Mysterio was building momentum, causing enough distraction for Damian Priest to get the victory. Drew McIntyre jumped Priest after the match. The two will face off at Clash at the Castle for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Judgment Day tried to save him, but McIntyre took care of all of them single-handedly. McIntyre then attempted to put Priest through the announce table but took his eyes off the prize momentarily, long enough for the champion to take advantage and chokeslam McIntyre through the table. Judgment Day was booked strong to end the episode.
